I guess we got unlucky

I went this this law firm when things became desperate for my husband’s situation. They said they could handle it. They took $4500 (without any installments, just one time payment) from us in 2018 and guaranteed that because we had an approved i30, that our motion would be approved and we could adjus...t my husband’s status. Well, motion was apparently denied in June of 2020. We didn’t find out anything till October when my husband himself checked with the court. Not sure if we are just unlucky because everyone’s reviews seem so good. But this lawyer basically acted like there’s nothing she can do and we are a nuisance . She said we’d have to gather another I believe $9000 for some waiver that she’s not even sure of. We were hopeful that the new administration would make things easier. Three years later and my husband is in an even worse spot than before. We have cried so much, I’ve been suicidal and basically just given up and leaving things to God. I don’t even bother calling or emailing them anymore because the responses are never good. Good luck to everyone.

Hello, we have done an extensive audit of our files and we do not have a client named "Amma", nor do we charge 4500 for anything. I also have no idea what you are talking about extra fees for 9k (another fee we usually do not quote). I do not believe this is an authentic review and therefore I will flag it as inappropriate. Unless you can tell us your real name and the exact issues we were helping you with "allegedly", please take down this review as it is clearly false. We take these reviews seriously as they help our clients learn more about our firm. I have a suspicion about who you are (other counsel who failed his client), but please reveal your actual name and what we were hired to do for the amounts you named so we can address these allegations that are clearly false. Kind Regards, amna

More Than Just an Attorney

Amna is what I hoped for and then some. After extensive research on immigration attorneys and reading reviews, once I talked to her for the first time during our phone consultation, I knew that she was the attorney I wanted to hire. My husband has a VERY complicated case and all the other attorneys w...anted double and triple the money because they knew it was going to be tough to win. She not only is very understanding with her fees, but genuinely cares about your case and who you are as a person. We are still working with her and her amazing staff to get my husband home and have been now for over 8 months. There have been many bumps in the road and times we wanted to just give up, but just when you think the immigration system has trumped you (no pun intended) and you've lost, there is always some glimmer of hope in that darkness. You have to keep fighting for those you love and Amna is an attorney who will get you where you want to be. She is no bars to the wall and if things aren't going so well, she will tell you the truth and not sugar coat anything, which is a good quality to have in a lawyer. You don't want to be so hopeful for something to happen just to be crushed. She has the ability to deliver the perfect balance of both optimism and reality. Just to give you an idea of my husband's case and all we've been through: -Pulled over and was charged with several misdemeanors -Had several previous criminal charges, which prevented us from asking for cancellation of removal, our original plan along with being able to bond him out of the immigration detention center -Tried to get him out on bond by hiring two different attorneys to attempt to obtain habeas corpus in order to expunge his record. This would have allowed us to continue with the cancellation case -That attempt failed and we were left with asking for voluntary departure all while trying to get the judge to agree that my husband was not an aggravated felon, which would eliminate any chances of obtaining relief. The government at the time had been against us thinking my husband has served jail time for a false accusation which he pled no contest to. -Currently have been granted VD but the government is reserving the right to appeal in case they find something to hold against us. Our hope is to bring him back on a visa that I have already applied for and from there adjust his status. He will be in Mexico for a year or more. If you are going to trust anyone, make sure that you put your case in the hands of someone like Amna and her associates. I have no family to help me or anyone to turn to who has been through this, and I had to find a way to save my husband by myself. Without Amna I would have had no chance to win my husband's case, but so far, after all we've been through, it seems as if our outcome is finally favorable.

Excellent attorney

She is a very professional lawyer and her fees are very reasonable. She helped me become a US citizen and through the whole process Mrs Shirazi and her whole staff supported us. I strongly recommend her to take care of all of your inmigration deeds.

She Succeeded where other Top Notch Attorneys failed. She is the best, Thank you

Thank you Amna, I hired Amna after having some difficulties in resolving some immigration difficulties. I got married with my wife back in 2007, and relied and two other attorneys to process our difficult green card application ( It required the removal and cancellation of a court issued deportati...on order). My previous attorney, located downtown Atlanta, after 6 years of trying failed to help us and was not able to resolve the situation. After the initial consultation with Amna, she knew exactly what to do in order to get our Green Card application processed in an efficient and expedited way. We followed her lead, and 1 year and 2 month after our initial meeting, my wife received her permanent residency. Additionally, her prices were very reasonable in comparing with the other immigration attorneys that we worked with, I can say that Amna Shirazi is an excellent immigration attorney in the Atlanta Area. I can say that she succeeded where " top notch" large firms attorneys failed. In short, Amna, knows the law, knew how to apply it in our situation, acted upon her knowledge, got everything resolved, showed confidence, and charged us a very reasonable fee. Thank you Amna, and thank you again.

Matt, thank you for trusting me to handle your case. I am so glad everything worked out for you and your family! Best wishes, amna

I was ripped off

I paid this lawyer $2,300dlls to help me with a Removal of Deportation case. It was $1,500 to reduce my bond and $800 to start my case, but at the end I had to pay my whole bond as it was set since the beggining. As the lawyer I had hired I told her everything about me; and she dropped me because I d...idn't have 10 years living in the USA but she only gave me $300 back arguing that she had to make phone calls and that she gave good advices. She took $2,000 from me and I'm in the same situation I was before hiring her. I would never recommend her to anyone

I am sorry you are upset about the way your case turned out. I am surprised you think you are in the same position as you were before you hired me because when your boss came to me, you were in jail (for some pretty serious charges) and about to be deported. I was able to navigate your release in spite of finding out you actually did not qualify for the relief sought. We found this out AFTER your release. I cannot represent someone and file an application that someone does not qualify for. You know I found out about all of your history well into the prep. of your application (hence I kept the fees for the part of work that I did). I am glad you are out of jail and back working. You may not think I helped you, but I did and I only wish you the best. I tried to explain everything to you as best as I could, and I regret I cannot continue to represent you, but immigration law is not always easy to understand or to be on the receiving end of enforcement.
