Grateful for a Winner

Nothing but eternal gratitude and admiration for Robert Capovilla in the wake of a year-long case against a military son, culminating in a full acquittal. Our son is free, with his life and reputation undiminished, because of Robert. It's hard to know where to turn initially and whether attorneys you... may be considering are truly knowledgeable, and will be a relentless and professional advocate on your behalf. Robert is all of that, and much more. This gentleman was always honest about the chances; was always available; evaluated the twists and turns in the case tactically, leading to sound decisions at every key point along the way; and he brought passion, integrity, experience, and total commitment from start to finish. When a military defense counsel joined the case, the two of them worked seamlessly as a one-two punch that was hugely beneficial to the case. Robert was the lead attorney. And particularly in the build-up to the court martial, he correctly assessed several pivotal decision points that turned out spectacularly correct. The emotional wallop of a situation like this is always present month after month, and often times it was only Robert's confidence and knowledge that could alleviate our sense of powerlessness and worry. Never false reassurance or sugarcoating, just knowledge of the law and of the circumstances and variables involved in our particular case, maximizing the strengths and mitigating weaknesses. Seeing him at work during the court martial, with everything riding on it, was stunning. His attention to detail, encyclopedic knowledge of UCMJ code, intellectual agility, and courtroom presentation and demeanor all came together at the point we needed it most--and then prevailed. Family members never doubted our son and brother's innocence at any time, but did not know if a court could be persuaded otherwise. Thanks to Robert, the court sided with us. Could not recommend anyone higher.

None Better

As an active-duty service member one tends to ponder getting deployed, seeing combat, and performing to one's best ability. Rarely if ever, did it cross my mind that the scariest, most difficult experience I would have in the military was to be falsely accused of sexual assault. For a year my life wa...s turned upside down as the military actively sought to ruin my life. Robert and his team at Capovilla and Williams were an easy choice for me to make among the vast sea of UCMJ attorneys. What instantly struck me with Robert was his candor, attitude, and earnest desire to defend me, protect my future, and uphold the honor of my name. Robert worked tirelessly for a year to prepare for the court martial, continuously called and scheduled meetings, proactively worked to uncover the truth and understand every relevant detail, and was always honest with me throughout the process. What puts Robert head and shoulders above everyone else is that he cares about his clients and he and his team do not wait - as soon as they are on the case they relentlessly pursue all possibilities and immediately begin building the defense. Capovilla and Williams saved me from a hideous future, restored my freedoms, and they did so with passion, vigor, and exceptional expertise. I am forever grateful to them.

“Never accept defeat”

Robert Capovilla gets five stars because he can’t be given more. He is truly a man that delivers. He’s tenacious in the courtroom and not afraid to defend you. He’s extremely prepared and quick to engage the adversary head first with no backing down. Before my hearing the government was trying to... introduce things that only an attorney as prepared as him would’ve caught. I have complete admiration for him and his firm. May the Lord always protect Robert Capovilla and his team!! After 18yrs of impeccable civilian and military service, the military accepted a false accusation of sexual harassment and inappropriate touching from a likely serial accuser to label me a “predator” and nearly ruin my profession and life. CID was quick to collect my DNA, fingerprints and put me in the FBI databank. I was issued a GOMOR for false allegations that were NEVER investigated. The government reported me to the National Practioner Data Bank with an entry that is defamatory, damaging and UNTRUE. I followed all the requisite appeals starting with a rebuttal to the GOMOR, which I later learned was not even read by the LT Gen that issued it. I then submitted my appeal to the Review Board in Virginia with no success in getting anyone to listen to my objection and INNOCENCE!! After five long years with this elephant on my chest, I received a BOI letter not only to remind and worsen my pain but to let me know that the final dagger was about to take the last bit of life outta me and my family. Thank you Robert Capovilla for clearing my name and more importantly for caring about me. My family is greatly appreciative too. God bless you always!

#100%

Not sure where to start. But this team did the best they could for me even in the situation I was in. I got the best result a DD214 HONORABLE and 100% disability. MR sean is and will be soon a great lawyer also Thanks to Robert and his team for putting up with such a unfair process. IF the Army want... to screw you. Give this guys a call, they will do their best. Thanks to SEAN for believing in me, believing the true and for carrying me under your wings for that long in such complicated and painfull process...Im happy with the outcome. Only this team and few other know the true and they will work with you to resolve the issue and not allow the Army to screw your benefits/military carrer. OUT
