Barry Allan Rothchild

Barry was born, May 12, 1965 and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Barry is passionate about helping others.  Throughout his legal career, Barry has helped thousands of injury victims recover money for their injuries.  Barry has handled small personal injury cases worth a few hundred dollars and large personal injury cases which have resolved for millions of dollars.  Barry will listen to questions from injury victims concerning all cases big or small. Barry encourages inquiries as he believes claimants deserve competent legal representation.    

Barry is a 1983 graduate of Finneytown High School.  Barry earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis on Marketing at The Ohio State University in 1987.  

Upon completion of his undergraduate studies at OSU, Barry was admitted to The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University which is a top rated national law school.  In 2011, The Ohio State College of Law was ranked 35 nationally among peer institutions by .  While attending law school at Ohio State, Barry helped support his wife and young son by working full time as a law clerk.  It was in these early years of law school education that Barry learned the field of personal injury practice and developed a passion for helping others.

Barry graduated from The Ohio State University law school in 1990 on his 25th birthday.  Barry passed the Ohio bar exam that summer and was sworn in to practice law before the Supreme Court of Ohio on November 5, 1990.  Barry began his professional career as a tax lawyer with the Columbus, Ohio office of Coopers & Lybrand. 

Soon after starting his career Barry realized tax law was not his calling, but helping injury victims recover for their injuries was what he loved to pursue.  He established his personal injury practice in Columbus, Ohio in September 1991 when the Rothchild Law Office opened on High Street in German Village, Columbus, Ohio. 

Barry proceeded to practice personal injury law from this Columbus, Ohio location through the summer of 1993 when Barry returned to his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio to join the Rothchild Law Office manned by his father, Eugene, and several associate attorneys.  The Rothchild Law Office as it exists today at the corner of Central Parkway and Race Street on the edge of Over-the-Rhine is a continuation of that practice which has been in existence since the early 1980’s.  Barry has been managing the law firm for close to 20 years and been practicing law for 22 years.

For most of its corporate existence, the Rothchild Law Office was located in the historic Carew Tower which is located on Fountain Square; however, in 2002, Barry purchased a small building at the Corner of West Central Parkway and Race Street and moved the Rothchild Law Office to its current location in downtown Cincinnati.

Shortly after moving the law firm to Central Parkway, a non-profit arts organization known in Cincinnati as ArtWorks approached Barry about using a wall of his WestCentral Parkway building for a community beautification project known as Mural Works.  Excited about the project, Barry offered Mural Works the entire building as a canvas for the student based project.  During the summer of 2007, high school students covered every paintable inch of the Rothchild Law Office’s exterior. The mural was dedicated in August of 2007 and sits directly across from the newly completed Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts.  With the addition of this Mural to the exterior of the building, Rothchild Law Office is identifiable in the community and locatable in downtown Cincinnati.

Barry lives in Blue Ash, Ohio with his wife, Dawn, and their three sons. Barry, his wife and their boys are dedicated Ohio State Buckeye fans.  Barry and his family routinely travel around the county to watch the Buckeyes on the gridiron.  The fondness of Barry’s family for OSU is passed from generation to generation as Barry’s oldest son is soon to join his wife and Barry as alumni of The Ohio State University.

When not working on client cases, Barry can be found daily at the gym. Barry enjoys physical activity including organized road races and modified triathlons and has been a frequent participant in half marathons.  Barry enjoys reading and spending time with his dogs.  His family calls three homeless dog’s family members and Barry routinely brings his dog Millie with him to work.  When winter arrives, Barry can be found taking trips to the Rocky Mountains to find deep powder and a nice downhill.
