Attorney Misconduct (Over billing, Unethical, client abandonment)
I hired Atty Cope earlier this year for a case in Gwinnett County. She was initially open and available once I paid my retainer. Due to being able to resolve the case resolution without an attorney I ended our client-attorney arrangement. Because the arrangement was so brief I inquired about getting ...
This client was charged with theft by taking and assault. Since he was a doctor charged with a felony, I wanted to act very quickly to minimize any effect these charges might have had on his practice. I quickly got him into a program which would ensure that these charges were dismissed and his record would be restricted (charges removed from his record). Because of my quick action, the client got into the program and never even had to go to court. Although I provided the services agreed upon, the client thought he should receive part of his retainer back although it was a fixed fee arrangement and he was not due a refund of his retainer. For customer satisfaction, I ultimately refunded a portion of his money back although he was not entitled to any money back. This is truly an example of “no good deed goes unpunished.”

Professional and Knowledgeable
Ms. Cope was contacted on Friday for a DUI case to be held on Tuesday. She responded the very same day I called her office and did my initial consultation and kept in touch with me over the weekend. When I met her, she was very professional and knowledgeable as she explained to me what was in my best...

Excellent lawyer for my son
Veronica, did an excellent job working with my son on his charges. She took an enormous amount of time talking to my husband and I and our son. My son needed someone to explain the letter of the law to him so he could understand how serious the situation was. She took her time and spoke to him as an ...

Not who or what she claims to be
Do not waste your time or money. No bad feedback? All of her reviews are very general with John Doe names, do not be fooled. I hired this lawyer and never got anything not even a reciept for what she "says" she did. Never went to court, hard to get in touch with, claims she can never find files and i...
Any of my clients will advise you that I am accessible and responsive and that I will go to great lengths to obtain the best result for my clients. This criminal client lost his job after I had been working on his case for some time and became very upset as I would not return his retainer which had been earned long before his request per my retainer agreement. This was after I had worked diligently on his criminal case without ever receiving the full retainer, giving him a discounted rate, and allowing him to make payment installments. He threatened me and my career and indicated that he would do whatever is necessary to try to ruin my career. Although I completed the services for which I had been retained and even offered to try to return a portion of his retainer as a compromise and a matter of "client satisfaction", this disgruntled client refused and said that he would only be happy with the return of the full retainer. If you will notice in his review he never indicates that I did not do what I was paid to do or that he did not have a favorable result. In fact, I was able to get his probation terminated which had kept him from obtaining employment. I have been practicing law for 15 years and have always made my clients issues my priority as I know how important careful handling of their cases may be. Please take the time to read the rest of my reviews over the years. I am also glad to provide a number of client references upon request. Although I enjoy the sports agency part of my practice, my criminal clients come first as often their liberty and livelihoods are at stake. This gentlemen is truly an example of the old adage "No good deed goes unpunished."
