Kemay Lareine Jackson

I hired Ms. Jackson in March to represent my son in a juvenile court case dated for April. Soon after hiring Ms. Jackson the courts closed due to COVID. The courts were closed for a few weeks at best. I heard from Ms. Jackson, once in May to inquire whether we received a new court date. I never heard... from her again. At the end of August, I reached out to her to request a refund since we had no idea when and if the case would be heard, and she had been holding my money for 5 months. I explained that if we did go to court, I would be happy to rehire her. Ten minutes, later Ms. Jackson called me and stated she contacted the court and the case had been dismissed in April. The case was dismissed based on the court deciding it would not be in the childs’ best interest to move forward. Ms. Jackson did absolutely nothing to get to this resolve and feels that she is entitled to 100% of the $1500 retainer. It was pure happenstance that Ms. Jackson was on the case when it was dismissed. She knew nothing about the decision that took place 4 months ago and had nothing to do with the outcome. This is not someone you want to do business with!

Kemay helped me immensely during my contempt case with my ex wife. I tried to do it myself at first, and it had negative consequences for me at the beginning. However, after hiring Kemay, she was able to quickly resolve my contempt case, and was able to help me modify my decree to a reasonable amou...nt and added some other things that helped me coparenting with my ex wife during my contempt hearing for my child support and other costs. She was able to help me navigate through some really tense times, and added a lot of comfort to me knowing I had her in my corner come court time. I have worked with other divorce attorneys over 11 years, and she was by far the best. I got the feeling she truly cared about me and the overall effect it would have on me in the future and with being involved with my son. Only thing I regret is not having her at the beginning of my case.

I met with attorney Jackson maybe 1 time and the case took about 3 years to settle. I’m the beginning she never stated to me she had no experience with accidents. I should have been warned about that matter firsthand. She barely contacted me and when I contacted her she was always too busy for me. I ...also looked into my case and apparently it was sold to the insurance company so I did not receive any kind of settlement. She received at least 35% of the money and the test went to bills. Long story short do yourself a favor and choose another route because this office is not the right option.
