Romin Vincent Alavi

in making a long story short-i had been charged with a failure to appear and a felony on december 12th,2009. within 72 hrs of my husband contacting romin,i was out of the dekalb cty jail. failure to appear usually does not allow a bond. by july 8th my case was dropped to a misdemeanor and the arrest... is basically not on my record. romin is truly amazing-he couples his legal expertise with his care and compassion for his clients-i would trust him with my life.

The word excellent does not come close to describing Attorney Romin Alavi. My brother went from being hopeless with his criminal case after seeing so many of other attorneys to being resolved after hiring attorney Alavi. He is extremely professional, caring. No time of the night was ever too late to ...contact him and for him to return the call. He walked us through the process and he extremely reliable. He truly believes in justice and not about robbing people money. He is the best attorney I have ever met and would recommend him to anyone.

I should have known something was wrong when the attorney I met with told me the attorney I spoke with on the phone was not a real attorney. Still, the guy I met seemed to know what he was talking about. They were expensive, and I had to meet my Dad to talk about money. When I came back, I met wit...h Mr. Alavi. Mr. Alavi promised me I would not lose my license and that I would not go to jail and that he would personally represent me and he told me how he treats DUI cases as a judge. He also cut the other guy’s fee by half. That was all he did though. At the first court date some lawyer showed up who I had never met before. He looked like a kid and he looked like he just woke up. He didn’t have a clue about my case and I don’t think he knew what he was doing. He tells me I either have to plea guilty or give up my license that day. I told him no and he panicked and called the office a bunch of times. He told me he couldn’t win the hearing but if I agreed to plea guilty I could keep my license. We were the last ones to leave and all I did was sign a form. I called the office to complain and was told Mr. Alavi would personally take over my case. Then I had to go another court and another lawyer shows up, not Mr. Alavi again. She tells me Alavi is sick and that I had to plea guilty because I previously agreed to. I didn’t understand and I was mad but she convinced me that if I didn’t do this I would go to jail. Here is the kicker though. I did go to jail anyhow. I had to turn myself in and spend the weekend in jail AND I lost my license. When I called the firm Mr. Alavi would not talk to me and his secretary told me there would not be a refund. The only lawyer I liked was not a lawyer and everything the boss told me was not true. I wonder if he is even really a judge.

He was kind and compassionate during a critical period in my life and he will always have a special place in my heart. The founding judge, however, needs to permanently retire and keep his crooked beak out of his cases! I'm glad to see that Alavi has a much better position than when I first met him.... The changes I read about made me smile!
