Damon Sharad Bivek

There are exactly two attorneys in the world that I trust and Damon Bivek is one of them. He is a gracious and caring gentleman who went above and beyond to keep things moving along smoothly. He has an insight to human nature that combined with his legal expertise made what could have been a misera...ble year much more comfortable. When it was all over, I felt I got everything we wanted without resorting to any regrettable behavior. And he effectively coached me through moments when I just wanted to give up. Nice! Damon has the ability to see the real picture for his clients. He is not afraid to tackle the tough issues, but also focuses on what is right. In our case, the issue was joint custody and he did not back down. He fought for all the things that would allow the father equal time with his children, and ...focused on "the children" not on the parents. He showed genuine care for the children, moreso than the mother's attorney, and suggested counseling for all parties. He was empathetic, but firm with the steps that needed to take place. He was about doing the right thing, but more importantly about doing things right so that the case was solid, and that there were no surprises. He handled the divorce and custody as separate issues, but also realized that they were interdependent and used this to the advantage of his client. Damon genuinely cares about his clients, and what I witnessed was his willingness to say when the client is wrong. That takes a lot of integrity in the lawyer and I have a great deal of respect for him in doing so. He is definitely a lawyer I would want on my side, not against me in a tough battle.
