About Andrew
Biography
Prior to opening his firm in November of 2006, Andrew was a founding partner of Cooper, Jones & Cooper where he represented plaintiffs in major personal injury and wrongful death cases. As both lead and co-counsel in several noteworthy jury trials, including cases against Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Wal-Mart, Georgia Pipe and Cresco Lines, he won considerable awards for his clients. Andrew successfully represented his clients in cases against Home Depot, Thomas Concrete, Allied Ready Mix, Isuzu, Daimler Chrysler, Honeywell, TRW, UPS, Georgia Pacific, Hilton Hotel Corporation, Schlotzky's, Toyota, and Lakeway Trucking, securing millions of dollars in relief.
Andrew received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Georgia in 1990 and his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law in 1993. He was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 1993 and is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
During his career, he's had the opportunity to serve in many leadership positions in the Cobb County and Georgia Bar Associations. First, he served as president of Younger Lawyers Division for the State Bar of Georgia in 2003-2004, after which he served as president of the Cobb County Bar Association in 2008-2009. He's also had the privilege of serving on the Board of Governors for the State of Georgia and Executive Committee for the State Bar of Georgia. He's a current board member of the Civil Justice PAC for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association where he helps protect all of our 7th Amendment right to a jury trial and an active member of the International Society of Barristers. During his career he's received many awards and recognition for outstanding service and leadership.
Andrew and his wife, Ashley, currently live in Marietta with their three children, Rutledge, Elinor, and Reid where they continue to be heavily involved in the Cobb County Community.
Andrew and his wife Ashley have lived in Marietta, right off Marietta Square, for 23 years. Now that his three children are grown and out of the house, they have enjoyed traveling and spending time at their second home in the Florida Keys. His oldest son Rutty recently graduated from Mercer Law School and is now working at Jones & Swanson. Their daughter Ella just started her first year of law school at UGA. Their youngest son Reid is a sophomore at UGA. Andrew is a big Dawgs fans! Among other activities, Andrew's family enjoys traveling together and spending time outdoors. He's an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman. When he's not in the office, you’ll likely find him at the ballpark (Go Braves!), in a deer stand, or on a boat.
