I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. I knew from when I was young I wanted to be an attorney. I received bachelor degrees from Miami (OH) University in 1998, graduating cum laude. I then went on to attend law school at Wake Forest University School of Law where I earned my Juris Doctor in 2001. Shortly after graduating law school, I passed the Georgia Bar and began my career.
I have been practicing law continuously since 2001. During the first 14½ years my practice was focused on representing companies and insurers in personal injury actions. My specialty was defending truck drivers, motor carriers, and their insurers. For the most part, I enjoyed the legal work but the case’s results often left me empty and unfulfilled. When I did my job well, an injured person’s recovery was limited or, in some cases, eliminated. I needed to make a change, and I did. In 2015, I transformed my practice. Instead of representing companies and insurers, I changed to filing lawsuits against them. I enjoy being part of the solution instead of one of the many obstacles standing between the injured person and their just compensation.
When I am not practicing law, I can be found in Alpharetta spending time with my wife and two kids. My weekends are spent on soccer fields and/or basketball courts. If I am not with my family, I am likely cheering on my beloved Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Cleveland Guardians.
