As a first-time offender, I was happy to be pointed in the direction of Mazi's service: A simple traffic stop proved to be the most unfortunate night of my life. To tell the story - - Dumb move number one: I'd had a few drinks earlier. - REALLY dumb move number two: As a person who has never bought or regularly done any "recreational" drugs, I'd accepted a tiny "gift" that night from a friend who thought I might have fun with it on a special occasion, thus I had it in my possession. To say the least, this was the most unlucky night of my life, and the whole arrest/jail experience was absolutely terrifying, humbling and humiliating. Upon recommendation from a local Atlanta peer, Mazi granted a free consultation, and gave an honest assessment of possible outcome scenarios. I appreciated his forthright, non-salesman approach. Ultimately, with Mazi's great work with the DA, I ended up with a cleared potential felony charge (will be cleared after 2 yrs probation), a small fine and the DUI charge dropped to reckless driving traffic offense. I just could not hear him very well but that is because I'm hard of hearing and he spoke too fast for me to comprehend what he was saying. I told him I was 86 yrs old. I can communicate better on email. We will seek some other attorneys who we've had some experience with already.

Mazi sold himself very well when I hired him for my son who lives out of state. He had been arrested a day after the EMT's had taken him to hospital the following day police came to the house (that he was staying in with several other men that he worked with) and arrested him with possession. I told him we did not receive any of the court notices from Fayette County at our home address we only found out about a court date from bails bonds, we did get the original date postponed he assured me that he would contact us upon receiving court date information in the future, that never happened! My son received a phone call from Mazi on the day he was to appear in court asking him where he was! again we did not receive notice from county, courts, bails bonds this time nor Mazi. The court date was postponed for two weeks so we could make travel arrangements to GA. We presented to Mazi upon retaining him with certificates for rehab program completed and several letters of recommendations on behalf of my son from the almost two years that his case took to get to court. On the day of court when we finally met in person, i inquired about the letters and if he had showed the prosecutor... his statement was that it did not matter what happened after the arrest was made! In the court process the judge was clearly impressed with the strides that my son told him he had accomplished (Mazi never showed!) who had already accepted what the prosecutor had offered with no negotiation. Very, very disappointed in his counsel for the attorney fee that he had charged and the amount of what seems to me very little work for my son, I would never recommend his council to anyone.
