John Charles Barrett

I hired Mr. Barrett and I was NOT happy with his service. He took my bankruptcy case and my money because he thought it was a EASY case and he wouldn't have to do much work. But once the case got complex he didn't want to complete the job. He didnt do anything like legally advise me what was the righ...t route to take for my situation. He never returned phone calls and this is not how you keep clients. Furthermore, Mr. Barrett didn't not help me resolve the next steps in the case nor did he have the decency to call me-very unprofessional! He had his secretary contact me to refer me to another attorney so I would have to pay more money on a job I paid him to do. He also sent me a letter in the mail and just withdrew himself from my case without discussing my next steps. I feel Mr. Barrett owes me the remaining balance minus the bankruptcy filing fee for the job he didn't complete. I did email him just days ago for this request and he has yet to respond.

I came across Mr. Barrett's law practice while searching the internet. I had spoken with 2-3 other law firms but ruled them out for various reasons from too expensive to not making a good first impression when I first spoke with a office representative. Donna with Mr. Barrett's office was very helpfu...l and professional from my first call and all thru out the divorce process which took about 2 yrs because even though my wife filed for the divorce, did not co-operate with the process. Mr. Barrett got the settlement that was good for me and I trust I won't need his services again, but if I do I'm calling Barrett Legal.

Ms. Donna is great support and really shows that she cares about your case. I had to call her several ti...mes in a panic/breakdown and she was there to handle the situation.
