Biography
John Barrett is an Atlanta area native and currently practices primarily in the areas of Family Law, Probate, Consumer Bankruptcy, and Juvenile Law. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University and earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors at Atlanta Law School in 1993. Mr. Barrett has been a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia since 1994. He is admitted to practice in all State and Superior Courts in Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Barrett has additional experience as a former general counsel for a software development company in Marietta and as a business executive with an Atlanta-based multinational manufacturing company. He also has experience as a Municipal Court prosecutor and Judge pro hac vice in State Court. He and his wife reside in Cobb County with their two sons and are active members of McEachern United Methodist Church.
