Family Lawyer

I spoke to a few lawyers before I contacted Diane. After explaining my situation, I trusted my gut and decided to retain her. Diane and her team of professionals were there every step of the way during this difficult time. My then-wife and I were attempting to get divorced as quickly and amicabl...y as possible under the circumstances. The team did just as I asked and helped to defuse potential conflicts. They gave me good advice and guidance when I needed it. From the initial phone consultation through the resolution of my case, Diane and her team were knowledgeable and efficient Thank you Cherry Law Firm

Super hero disguised as a lawyer

After 10 years of an abusive relationship with a narcissist I was ready to take my life back. The idea of divorce was so overwhelming to me it was hard to process where to even begin. This is where Diane and her team of superheroes come in.I reached out to Diane and had an interview with her.One of the... things that immediately grabbed my attention was that unlike other lawyers I had chatted with, she immediately saw the emotional side of things and seemed to understand that this was an incredibly hard choice for me.I was not taking my divorce lightly and neither was she.At this point, I was still hoping it might be possible to work through things, but I also was realistic that it was a long shot.Diane did not push me in any direction. She is a rare breed of lawyer that understands the emotions and yet can step back and advice that was in my best interest. In a divorce attorney this skill is invaluable. You're so emotional you need that attorney that can see why your emotional and deliver information and suggestions to you in a way that you can digest and understand what is emotional and what is in your future interest. My first call with Diane, she gave me some simple steps to get myself in a good place, so that if I did in fact choose to file for divorce, I would be in a position of truly understanding our household financial situation. She advised me on how to keep myself and my daughter safe. She also gave me contact information for a few other professionals that might assist me in my divorce.Three months later the choice was made, and I hired Diane and her team to represent me.Diane prepared me mentally, financially and emotionally for the road that lay ahead. She made it clear that my husband would more than likely play right out of the narcissist divorce play book.He would drag all skeletons out of the closet, make up things, try to disgrace me in the face of family and friends, and helped me anticipate what was headed my way and mentally prepare for this, so the tactics did not rattle me if they were employed.Boy was this good advice, I felt like I was always 10 steps ahead of my ex-husband and his lawyers through my entire divorce process, with Cherry Law on my side.My husband was extremely intimidated by Diane representing me.He immediately lawyered up as well. One of the things that impressed me most is early on, my husband’s attorney tried to have mine removed from my case based upon a conflict of interest since he had met Diane before I ever filed for divorce.I had no idea this was happening as Ms. Cherry and her team simply handled it without ever mentioning it till later in our case. This is what I hired them for! They were my shield and sword in my divorce. This allowed me to get through my days and focus on rebuilding a life and taking care of my daughter and my mental health. Some attorneys would have looked at these attempts as a way to turn a profit, however not mine.Cherry Law rolled this into the initial cost of her services and simply billed it against my retainer and kept things moving. That saved me about three weeks of sleepless nights worrying over losing my lawyer. There was a time towards the end when her team notified me of every new development as we were nearing the end and I needed to be making decisions on a daily basis to try and bring the divorce to an end.Again, rare skills set to know when to include the client and when to handle the behind-the-scenes stuff that I didn't need to lose sleep over.Often communications would not come from Ms. Cherry directly but rather her staff, specifically Tamara or Elizabeth were assigned to my case. These two women are unbelievable at their jobs. They are experienced paralegals who not only do they do an amazing job in their communications, but they also charge a lower rate for their time, thus saving me money! My divorce was finalized in a record 6 months! We never went to court, though my husband worked very hard to get us there.Thank you Mrs Cherry and Team!

Very disappointing experience

I selected Diane after reading all the great reviews. Our initial discussion went well and I hired her. After that, communication from her office was abysmal. I never knew what was going on or what next steps were. When I did speak with her office, they were always very friendly and helpful. Th...e disagreement with my ex-wife was successfully mediated, and I felt like her representation during the mediation itself was good. However, my ex-wife's attorney filed a motion for me to pay her attorney's fees. I am unclear if this was handled poorly by Diane's office or if the judge just erred, but the judge granted the motion. The follow-up communication from Diane's office was typically disappointing with one of her minions emailing me the result with the note "let us know if you have any questions", as if it were the expected result. Just an overall disappointing experience. If I had it to do over, I would have gone with someone else.

Excellent Lawyer

In my 35 years in the insurance business running several major distribution systems for major carriers she is one of the best lawyers I've encountered. Highly recommend her especially in regards to family and divorce matters.

she was phenomenal

My then-wife and I were attempting to get divorced as amicably as possible under the circumstances. We both thought that running up big legal bills over issues that weren't worth as much as the legal bills was stupid. Some attorneys might have found ways to provoke conflict. Diane did just as I as...ked and helped to defuse potential conflicts. She gave me good advice and guidance when I needed it. She was truly phenomenal.
