MY DUDE!!!!

He’s a great attorney from what I have seen him do so far with my cause, he communicates when it’s necessary, his pricing is reasonable. Loving it so far, and for the one saying he’s “a wolf in sheeps clothes” well..... I NEED A WOLF in sheeps clothes to go into the trenches and fight for me. Wouldn’...t have it any other way!!!!!

- Case Dismissed - Need I Say More?

I couldn’t be happier with the Criminal Defense services contracted with Mr. Koontz. I was arrested In a domestic dispute, and although I was not the aggressor, I was facing simple battery charges. Seeking representation, other attorneys sounded unsure of whether or not they could get my charges dro...pped, Mr Koontz not only took on the case with a confident (yet realistic) approach and had all charges completely dismissed without even having to go to trial. All I had to do was an anger management evaluation and appear briefly In court a couple times and Mr Koontz took care of the rest! Might I also mention his rate for services was half most my other quotes and 2/3 the price of next most affordable attorney I found. I highly recommend Mr. Koontz as a criminal defense attorney to anyone. He was more than helpful every step along the way of my case and should I ever require a good defense attorney again, I know who I’m calling!!!

Got us what a public defender would of got us for 2500

We hired this attorney 2 years ago And he got us the worst deal possible ! Exactly what a public pretender would of got us for 2,500 and what’s 500$ more to file a petition for early termination of probation!

This client appears to be upset that I quoted him a fee to handle a petition to terminate his probation early, even though my representation of him ended two years ago when he accepted the plea deal. He never gave me any indication he was upset with me, and instead wrote this review. Also, he never gave me any indication that he was ever dissatisfied with my services previously, and did not write anything negative about me before. In fact, both he and his family expressed gratitude at the time, and as you can see, he came back to me, wanting me to handle the petition to terminate probation. As for the plea agreement, it was actually a very good deal that consolidated several incidents into one case and most charges were dismissed. If he had taken the time to discuss his concerns about the new fee, and if I had known it made him that upset, I'm sure he and I could have worked something out. I would always encourage clients to sit down with me and work through any issue, rather than handle it this way. But I do appreciate the opportunity to respond here.

Will not fight for you.

I was involved in a domestic dispute. Accused of charges I didn’t commit. The victim, my wife, who recanted her statement to police couldn’t even help. Took a lie detector test and passed. Sat in court for a year forced to take a plea deal. Was in court all day on some events because David was late.... David is a nice guy. He went to Harvard. He’s a smart attorney taking cases and getting paid if you win or not. Gave me a fair price. You get what you pay for is all I’m going to say. This is a ride the system attorney. Will not fight for you. It’s been Two years. Went back to him to get the rest of the plea deal petitioned bc I have completed all that has been asked. He was willing to move forward now refuses to help bc I won’t admit to the crime which was an Alford plea, not admitting guilt. Clearly doesn’t want to help bc he’s not willing to put in any effort to helping his clients. I’ve talked to other attorneys and presented the facts and evidence of the case. All have said they would of handled my case differently. My wife and I were no going against each other. This case was picked up by the state. Just save the money and take a plea deal. Could have done that on my own. Now I’m forced to hire another attorney to clean up the mess this attorney started bc he is now refusing to help.

I do fight for my clients, and I fought for this one after the prosecutor originally wanted prison time. As the reviewer admits, he is angry because I declined to represent him for a new matter---a petition to terminate probation early---after it became apparent to me that this would create a conflict of interest. He chose to take the plea deal in the original case, and there had never been any indication of dissatisfaction with his decision or my representation. In fact, now two years later he sought my representation again. It was only after I respectfully declined representation, due to the conflict, that he wrote this review. Sometimes people second-guess their original decision later on, whether it's a plea deal or a trial. That's human nature, and understandable. But I have always fought, and will continue to fight, for each and every client.
