David Joseph Koontz

In the fall of 2022 I found myself in a rather unfortunate situation, falsely accused, arrested and facing a felony charge which if I was convicted not only would I be facing jail time, but my VA benefits (which I literally earned through my blood, sweat and tears) would have been in jeopardy as well.... I consulted several law firms and some even wanted to charge me for the consultation. David Koontz was one of the lawyers that I spoke to during that period and the reason I chose David to represent me is because he was saying the exact same thing that the larger Law firms were saying, but they wanted to charge me at three or four times more than the quote I received from him. The goal was to keep me out of jail, retain my military pension and prove my innocence. Not only did he accomplish all three of those things, but the case was dismissed altogether! Unfortunately I had two cases pending and the latter was recently adjudicated at the end of August of 2025. It was a DUI case and admittedly I had to “bite the bullet” in that case, but David Koontz still kept me out of jail and he was able to negotiate some favorable and special conditions with the judge and prosecutor on my behalf. I even recommended a friend and his family to David. That friend and his family were extremely grateful for the referral after a more than favorable and fortunate outcome in their case.
