Brian began his legal career as a public defender in Fulton County and never stopped representing the interests of individuals. He advocated for his clients in the superior court of Fulton County and at the appellate level, spending most of his time in the complex felony unit. Brian has handled the toughest cases in the state, representing people charged with murder, armed robbery, sex crimes and drug trafficking. Due to his extensive experience and attention to detail, Brian is known as one of the most skilled and aggressive lawyers in the State.
Brian has served as lead counsel in over one-thousand five hundred felony cases in both trial and appellate litigation, including over fifty murder cases and two-hundred sex crimes. During his time at the Public Defender’s Office, Brian was an integral part of the Office Training Committee tasked with training other attorneys in litigation and trial skills. He also supervised attorneys both in court, and sat second chair assisting attorneys during trial. Brian has frequently been asked to consult by fellow attorneys on their cases.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
I can't imagine a more skilled, careful and clever criminal defense attorney. Brian Hobbs has won some of the most difficult, felony criminal cases that I have ever seen. He diligently puts in the work and pays attention to detail that many lawyers (and opposing counsel) frankly just overlook. I am honored to endorse Brian, and I offer my strongest recommendation.

Brian is smart, hard working and compassionate. I feel lucky to call him a colleague, and his clients are lucky to have him on their side.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
