Attorney Michelle Jordan was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia where she attended Alan C. Pope High School. She graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Media Studies. Michelle was a student ambassador and member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority. After four years of mid-west winters, she decided that Georgia was where she belonged. Not to mention, there is no football like SEC football!
In 2005, Michelle began her journey in the legal profession at Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, Michelle worked at the Governor’s Council for Developmental Disabilities and is a strong advocate for the rights of people who are differently abled. Michelle also had the opportunity to study public health and environmental law abroad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she saw the impact of poverty on the family unit and the criminal justice system. This prompted her interest in both family law and criminal defense.
Passionate about defending the constitutional rights of her clients that have been accused of crimes, she worked at the constitutional law firm of Begner & Begner while in law school and after graduation, joined an Atlanta firm where she honed her skills as a criminal defense attorney.
Michelle has a passion for protecting her clients in crisis situations like facing criminal charges or having a family legal matter. This lead her to form the Lynn & Jordan Law Office with her colleague June Lynn. She represents clients in matters ranging from misdemeanors to felonies and is experienced in the areas of DUI defense, assault defense, battery defense, violation of probation defense, possession of marijuana defense, and possession of cocaine.
Attorney Michelle Jordan also handles family law matters including contested divorce, child custody, uncontested divorce, child support enforcement, child support defense, child support modifications, visitation modifications and juvenile matters. She represents clients in areas including Athens-Clarke County, Gwinnett County, Barrow County, Hall County, Oconee County and Cobb County.
