also known as Stephanie Weil, Stephanie Susan Durrance
Stephanie Weil is a former felony prosecutor turned family law attorney who has been practicing law for more than 12 years. Before returning to the legal field, she spent several years as a stay-at-home mom, and it was her own divorce that pushed her back into the workforce. She hit the ground running as a prosecutor and has brought that same drive and courtroom skill into her family law practice.
Stephanie initially practiced in Florida, but after a family relocation to Georgia in 2020, she continued her family law career in Metro Atlanta. She has been selected as an Elite Lawyer in Georgia Family Law every year since 2021. Her practice focuses on complex and high-asset divorces involving closely held corporations and business valuations, highly contested custody matters, and gray divorces. These later-in-life dissolutions often involve significant retirement assets, separate estate issues, long-term financial dependency, and social security considerations, and Stephanie navigates those complexities with confidence and precision. She also has extensive experience in cases involving children with special needs and is skilled in developing parenting plans and financial structures that support those needs long-term.
Before transitioning to family law, Stephanie served as a felony prosecutor in Florida, where she prosecuted thousands of cases including attempted first-degree murder, second degree murder, drug trafficking, gang violence, vehicular homicide and domestic violence. She was nominated for Florida MADD Statewide Prosecutor of the Year and was recognized multiple times as Prosecutor of Distinction by MADD Polk County. With more than 45 jury trials as first chair, she brings a powerful level of courtroom experience that few family law attorneys possess.
Stephanie grew up surrounded by the legal profession. Both of her parents were attorneys, and her father practiced family law for over 40 years. That legacy shaped her early desire to help parents and children navigate life’s most challenging transitions with strength and clarity.
Now practicing throughout Metro Atlanta, Stephanie represents clients with a strategic, child-focused, and results-driven approach, always committed to protecting what matters most.

Terrible. Zero follow through, communication and attention to details. Complete waste of money
I’m sorry to hear this feedback, though it’s disappointing not to know which case this refers to. The review is anonymous, so I can’t follow up directly, but I would be happy to discuss your concerns if you are a former client. A lack of attention to detail is not something I’ve heard before in client feedback, and I strive to be thorough in all of my cases.
"Stephanie is a very persistent and patient attorney. She is very professional and helps to find solutions instead of conflict. I look forward to working with her again."
"I endorse this lawyer. Stephanie is truly one of a kind. In my 30 years of practice I have come across very few attorneys who possess her unique skill-set and are as devoted as she is to obtaining the best possible results for her clients. She is an extremely sharp and skilled negotiator and I truly feel sorry for anyone who has had the unenviable experience of being on the receiving end of her cross-examination."
