Do not hire for wrongful death

When I hired this attorney for an insurance claim, I trusted him completely. His fees were higher than others, but I assumed that meant better service. Over time, I began to see things differently. He felt less like a trusted advocate and more like a used car salesman — full of reassurances but short... on substance. One phrase he used was “We carry the risk if it goes to trial.” It sounded comforting at first, but I eventually understood what it really means — you are the risk. You are the one with everything to lose. It’s a sales tactic, not a promise. By the time I understood what was happening, I felt like a transaction, not a client. He did not put my needs first. Ask hard questions, compare fees, and be cautious of smooth talkers.

I would have given 6 stars if it was available

I've been doing business with Jamie for quite a few years now. He has represented me personally, and most often has represented my business. From contract creation, to contract negotiations, to litigation, he has taken care of us as if we were his only client. I appreciate his level headed approach, ...his reliable advice, and the security I feel both personally and as a professional with him in our corner. His associates and staff are fantastic as well. I'm glad this site exist so we can give credit where credit is due!

Client

Mr. Khan was hired by my husband and I for a litigation matter. He represented us during the jury trial. Because he was very well prepared, articulate, and knew case law that related to our case, the verdict was in our favor.

Jamie Khan

Jamie was an incredible attorney for me as I was in a tough situation in a new city with a lot at stake. Jamie sifted through the information and was able to construct a relevant and accurate defense that used different time scales. His foresight was very helpful as he put things in place with great ...anticipation and helped have things in order for a thoughtful and well designed timeline. I recommend Jamie to anyone who wants an engaging and very trustworthy ally in a tough situation.

Skilled Attorney that cares about his clients.

Mr. Khan represented me in an employment matter. He made himself available any time I had questions or concerns. He discussed strategy with me before he implemented it and he got me a very favorable outcome. Most important to me was the fact that he cared about me and my situation. That is the fi...rst time I have experienced that in a legal situation!

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
