Gregory Forman, a better than excellent lawyer!

Gregory Forman was the perfect lawyer for me. He is very knowledgeable in the area of child custody, child support and family law. Gregory has a style which I have never seen in a lawyer before. He doesn't waste your time or money. He keeps meetings to the point and gets right down to the matter.... Gregory always communicated information as quickly as possible. I was always impressed at his ability to generate a document right in front of you so you could proof it right at the moment. I appreciated his interest in my case in a personal way. Gregory listened and never pass judgment about anything he heard. He was most interested in what was best for the child and how the adults could fit into the best interest of the child. He listened to my concerns and helped me decide how to proceed. He never pressured me to make decisions I was not comfortable with and was sensitive to my feelings about the case. He never made a promise to me that he couldn't keep. This is not the case with other lawyers I have worked with. He was always truthful about the pros and cons of the progress of the case. When I first met Gregory, I wasn't sure about him. He described himself and his style to me. Quite simply, he is straight forward and he will always tell you exactly what he thinks about your case. His approach is very no-nonsense. I needed someone like that to represent me. So many lawyers will give you the impression that your case will be easily won and then you find out differently. Gregory will always tell it like it is. He is a fantastic lawyer and one I would use again if needed. The best news is he will not waste your money!

Greg Forman, Is a very knowledgeable lawyer that has guided me through a extremely difficult divorce and child custody battle. He had insight and understanding of what things that I needed to do prior to going to court. He evaluated with me the pro's and con's versus the cost it would take to reac...h my desired outcome. What more can you ask from a lawyer! He is honest and upfront. His persona in a courtroom is extremely impressive. He adapted to any circumstance that had arisen. I would definately recommend him to anyone seekeing a strong, competent lawyer who is fair and is mindful of ones needs.

Mr. Forman

I was very impressed with Mr. Forman's performance. From the onset of the case Mr. Forman began working immediately on my behalf. His extensive knowledge and background of family law made me feel at ease about my case. Through his hard work and creative thinking Mr. Forman was able to secure me th...e opportunity to finnaly be a father and defend that right not once but twice in just a little over a month. In just 5 months he was able to totally solve a 3 year problem. I would recommend Mr. Forman to anyone in need of a honest, hardworking more importantly decdicated attorney. He is well worth your time and money.

Beware of the bad reviews

I hired Mr. Forman to represent me in a custody agreement. I read a lot of good reviews and some bad reviews that made me a bit nervous, but I thought you take the good with the bad. The bad reviews were accurate. He is rude and IMO over extended. He asked me to file the paperwork he prepared bec...ause he was too busy to walk down to the court house and do it himself. He didn't explain the paperwork or the orders that were prepared and ended up putting me in a bad situation that severely damaged my case. I emailed him multiple times about the case and the way I understood it and he never corrected me to explain how it all works. He hardly read any of the emails that were sent to him, but you better believe that I was billed for everyone. If you hire him, be prepared to spend time doing your own googling on what is really going on behind the scenes. The bad reviews on this attorney were very accurate.

This client waited days with an urgent matter until he hired me, which required me to (successfully) seek an ex-parte order on his behalf on a Friday afternoon prior to a holiday weekend. My staff had the day off and I did not want to bill him to walk the paperwork to court. That’s the reason i asked him to take the paperwork to court. Doing so saved him $175. Further, we had limited time to serve the defendant. This could not be accomplished because of a court delay in getting me the paperwork and because the defendant was out of town. This client never informed me beforehand that service might be a problem. I then got the ex-parte order extended (again the client was kept informed of this). Yet he asked me to hold off on getting her served (against my advice) and returned his children to his allegedly unfit co-parent anyway. This action undermined his legal claim of parental unfitness. Moreover this client postponed an appointment (again against my advice) where he could have asked questions if he was confused about the status of his case. Everything in this client’s case was handled promptly and, until he decided to return the children to their mother, successfully. His emails were answered within hours, if not minutes. He never once asked me if he needed to return the children to their mother before he did so. He never once indicated he was confused about what was going on in his case. On two occasions he directed my legal actions (serving the defendant; postponing a meeting) against my advice. The blame he places on me is largely due to his waiting until the matter became urgent and then not giving the matter proper attention. When clients cancel appointments and don’t ask questions I cannot be responsible for their confusion.

"Greg started as an adversary, when I was working for another attorney. Then, he became a friend. After that, a mentor. Not only is Greg one of the most intelligent family law practitioners in the state of South Carolina, he may be the single-most generous such practitioner when it comes to his time and expertise; Greg is doing more for young attorneys than I've seen any law school do. He is a fierce advocate, a fearsome adversary, a trusted colleague, a generous mentor, and a wonderful friend."
