Greg successfuly negotiated an alimony settlement for me. His tactics were direct, efficient and incisive. You won't be coddled or given warm fuzzies, but this man will get your job done and it will likely cost you less than predicted. I will recommend him to anyone seeking legal assistance in the ...family law arena.

Top Notch Attorney

I retained Greg for a custody case that I had reopened after losing several years prior. Being a military member stationed in another state, I knew I had a huge uphill battle and it was going to take an experienced attorney with a strong track record to have any hope. I found Greg on this very websit...e and saw that he had overwhelmingly positive reviews and, in particular, the reviewers had praised him for his accessibility and prompt communication, something that many attorneys--in my experience--are severely lacking on. Living out of state, it was very important that my attorney was not only capable, but also reachable. With that said, Greg was simply amazing, not only for his incredible knowledge and skill, but he worked with a passion and persistence that gave me a peace of mind that I had not experienced with any other attorney. Communication was constant, I received replies within hours, even on weekends and holidays. It was unbelievable how engaged he was from start to finish. Even more unbelievable was his passion for saving me money. During mediation, he drafted the final order, something he said he liked to do because it saved his clients money if he didn't have to charge for the time at mediation and the time to draft the order later. An attorney that doesn't try to squeeze every penny out of the client AND looks for ways to save them money? Was I dreaming? I knew I wasn't dreaming when I received a check in the mail from him that was a refund for the unused portion of my retainer. Yes, I said refund. Again, unbelievable! Another reviewer mentions that Greg is not empathetic, and they are right. If you are looking for empathy go to a therapist, if you are looking for an attorney that will work your case like you are the only client he has, with a level of knowledge and skill that can level the playing field for you in even the toughest cases, Greg Forman is the attorney for you. Without doubt or hesitation I would highly recommend him and would absolutely retain him again should the need ever arise.

Family Law Attorney Review

I cannot say how grateful I am to have hired Greg to represent me!!! I can go on all day about how great he was as a lawyer, counsel, and someone I now feel I can call a friend, but I will keep it brief. When I started looking for a lawyer for my custody case I was looking for someone who was knowled...geable, empathetic, and determined to help me reach or exceed my goal of true 50/50 custody of my daughter. Being a guy and having little faith in the courts I felt my plea would never fully be heard. I contacted Greg on Super Bowl Sunday after having finely being fed up with my current situation with my daughter. Thinking he wouldn't respond until the next day, to my surprise he responded almost immediately to see what he could do to help, and thats a behavior that has never stopped. He was really the first lawyer I had contacted, but I knew if he had time to respond to me on a Sunday evening and Super Bowl Sunday at that, I knew I could depend on him to always be there for me like that. The rest is history basically. I got exactly what I was looking for plus more!! He is extremely knowledgeable in the law and always found ways to break it down in laments terms when I didn't understand all of the legal jargon. I explained to him what I was trying to accomplish and he did everything in his power to make sure my goal was accomplished. It was times when my plea to the courts to gain true 50/50 custody of my daughter looked very meek, but Greg counseled me in those times and assured me that we were going to get through this together and he was going to do everything in his power to make sure I got what I wanted. He told me things to do to keep my mind off of things and ways to stay sane during the madness. He always gave me the pros and cons of my wants and instructed me on the best course of action. It was not one time during my entire court case that I had to wait any longer than 5 mins to hear back from Greg when I contacted him about something. I can sit hear today and say without Greg's assistance I would not be able to sit here today saying that I now have true 50/50 custody of my daughter. He was also able to get me back a good portion of the money I had to spend for my custody case and GAL fees. If you want the best, hire the best! I am glad that I wasn't on the receiving end of having to go against Greg in court. He is a beast in the court room literally!! He made me want to be a lawyer after seeing how he rebutted things and defended me. I can truly say every dollar I spent was worth it because of his service. I would highly recommend Greg to anyone that is looking for the best lawyer in Charleston, SC!!

Gregory Forman, a better than excellent lawyer!

Gregory Forman was the perfect lawyer for me. He is very knowledgeable in the area of child custody, child support and family law. Gregory has a style which I have never seen in a lawyer before. He doesn't waste your time or money. He keeps meetings to the point and gets right down to the matter.... Gregory always communicated information as quickly as possible. I was always impressed at his ability to generate a document right in front of you so you could proof it right at the moment. I appreciated his interest in my case in a personal way. Gregory listened and never pass judgment about anything he heard. He was most interested in what was best for the child and how the adults could fit into the best interest of the child. He listened to my concerns and helped me decide how to proceed. He never pressured me to make decisions I was not comfortable with and was sensitive to my feelings about the case. He never made a promise to me that he couldn't keep. This is not the case with other lawyers I have worked with. He was always truthful about the pros and cons of the progress of the case. When I first met Gregory, I wasn't sure about him. He described himself and his style to me. Quite simply, he is straight forward and he will always tell you exactly what he thinks about your case. His approach is very no-nonsense. I needed someone like that to represent me. So many lawyers will give you the impression that your case will be easily won and then you find out differently. Gregory will always tell it like it is. He is a fantastic lawyer and one I would use again if needed. The best news is he will not waste your money!

"Greg started as an adversary, when I was working for another attorney. Then, he became a friend. After that, a mentor. Not only is Greg one of the most intelligent family law practitioners in the state of South Carolina, he may be the single-most generous such practitioner when it comes to his time and expertise; Greg is doing more for young attorneys than I've seen any law school do. He is a fierce advocate, a fearsome adversary, a trusted colleague, a generous mentor, and a wonderful friend."
