Client Focused. RESULTS DRIVEN. Nick Skorzewski at Cavanaugh & Thickens is YOUR hometown work injury lawyer.
My law practice focuses exclusively on advocating for my clients after they have been injured on the job. My passion for helping people navigate the Workers’ Compensation system comes primarily from two very different experiences.
Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked on the assembly line as an employee at a large manufacturing plant in Greer, South Carolina. Then, following law school, I worked for a large, multi-state defense law firm where I represented insurance carriers exclusively in workers’ compensation matters.
My experience gives me a unique perspective on the struggles of dealing with a work injury and is the foundation for my passion for helping injured employees.

Nick provided excellent service, demonstrating professionalism and personal attention to all details. He takes a pragmatic approach to law and doesn’t over complicate things unnecessarily. Throughout the process he made sure to explain the process and reassure any doubts.

"I have had several cases against Nick when he was representing insurance companies and he was a great lawyer. He knew the law and how to apply it for his clients' advantage. I am happy that he is now using his knowledge and skills in representing injured workers rather than insurance companies. If you hire Nick, you know you will have a relentless advocate on your side."
