I'm Micah Leddy. I grew up in Georgia, came to South Carolina for law school at the University of South Carolina, and was licensed to practice here in 2006. In 2010 I opened The Leddy Law Firm, LLC in Columbia, and in 2021 I moved the office to Lexington.
The firm handles two kinds of cases. The first is personal injury, with a focus on motorcycle crashes and wrecks caused by drunk or impaired drivers. When a drunk driver causes a wreck, South Carolina law may allow punitive damages in addition to compensation for your losses, even when the only damage is to your vehicle. The firm also handles car and truck wrecks, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, dog bites, medical malpractice, nursing home injuries including bed sores, and wrongful death claims for people across Lexington, Columbia, and the Midlands.
The second is professional license defense. The firm handles cases statewide for licensed professionals facing complaints before the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) and its boards, including nurses, nurse practitioners, and CRNAs (Board of Nursing); physicians and respiratory therapists (Board of Medical Examiners); pharmacists (Board of Pharmacy); real estate licensees (Real Estate Commission); appraisers (Real Estate Appraisers Board); accountants (Board of Accountancy); and contractors and residential specialty contractors (Contractor's Licensing Board and Residential Builders Commission).

Injury cases are handled on a contingency fee. The fee percentage is calculated from the total recovery before expenses are deducted, and case expenses are then paid from the remaining settlement. If there is no recovery, the client owes no fee and is not responsible for case expenses.
