Nice enough, however, do not use him to litigate a dispute in Estate Law. He stated his expertise is in business, Contracts, and Construction, and after 1.8 hours at $360 per hour total $648 for nothing. He stated after the fact he is a mediator. I clearly stated at the beginning of this Zoom meeting...
She made an appointment for me to review the facts, and to provide her with legal analysis and advice. I provided good legal analysis and advice and charged her at the agreed rate for my time to do so. Her unwillingness to take my good advice does not negate that I provided the service she requested and charged her the rate to which she had agreed. The low rating she provided is better considered a rating of her, not me.

I read a one star review about Sam as well as Sam's rebuttal. I feel compelled to tell you what I know about Sam. He is 100% a great person. He was my neighbor for years and he is close friends with a good friend of mine. Sam is a gem of a human being. He would never let a client down. Sometime...

I retained Sam Craig for a partnership dispute involving a several real properties and several successful businesses that were taken from me. Sam is probably a good lawyer most of the time, however when I retained him it took him nearly a month to officially notice his representation in the court an...
As usual, Mr. Johnson is not forthright, leaves out important details, and blames others for his own mistakes. Here are some important facts: • I will not detail the myriad ways he totally bungled his real estate and business dealings prior to retaining counsel. His multiple mistakes are hard for him to acknowledge because of the close personal relationship he had with the party with whom he is now in litigation, and makes him strike out at others, including me. • He retained me with the agreement that I would enter my formal appearance in the case only after his then-current attorney resolved a technical dispute between that attorney and opposing counsel, which took weeks. As soon as I learned the prior counsel formally withdrew, I entered my notice of appearance. • [This gets a little complicated to follow, but stick with me.] The same day that prior counsel was allowed to withdraw, but before I was made aware of that withdrawal, opposing counsel served discovery requests directly on Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson took those requests to his then-former counsel--not me--likely because the requests were asking about an inadvertent disclosure by former counsel of Mr. Johnson being caught lying to his former counsel (which, I believe, is why his former counsel terminated their attorney-client relationship). Mr. Johnson's former counsel contacted opposing counsel directly because the discovery requests related to the former counsel's inadvertent disclosure of the lie, and assumed that Mr. Johnson informed me of the discovery requests as well. But Mr. Johnson did not tell me about the discovery requests; I learned about them from opposing counsel only after responses were long overdue. So Mr. Johnson's claim that I "didn't respond on time" is baseless. • The final straw that led me to terminate Mr. Johnson as a client and withdraw from representing him was when he presented some screenshots from a phone, but when opposing counsel asked to have the phone examined, Mr. Johnson stated that the could not find it, and believed his dog ran off with it. He held to that story despite my questioning it strongly, so I was forced to convey that story to opposing counsel. • Following that last, but not first, deceptive statement, I determined that I must dissociate from Mr. Johnson, despite him owing me money for work I had performed. I expected to write off those amounts but he unexpectedly came by to pay his bill, so I accepted payment. I then terminated our relationship. Had he waited just a bit longer I would have terminated him and had to write off those billings. Karma. • He says he will file a grievance with the State Bar. He already has, and that grievance was found to be without merit. He filed a supplement, to no avail. His claims against me are futile attempts to blame me for his missteps. Mr. Johnson is a likeable, persuasive person, but a tar-baby I am glad to get away from.

From my location on the west coast I needed an attorney in Western North Carolina to resolve an outstanding debt. Samuel Craig was able to recover the debt with a minimal cost to me, as well as to the debtor. His negotiations, from my perspective, were smooth and succinct. He was respectful of all p...

I have had several situations in which I contracted Sam Craig for legal representation. He was very, very helpful in dealing with the issues. He went above and beyond just providing legal recourse. His experience as a mediator actually brought about the best resolution, rather than lengthy and cost...
