In 1991, after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a degree in political science, Bradley realized that 1) he couldn’t afford to start his own country and 2) Dean Smith’s incoming 1990 freshman class looked to be one of the best classes ever assembled in college basketball, so he decided to attend the UNC School of Law. Three years and one national championship later, he graduated and began working as a trial lawyer for Anderson, Cox and Ennis and continued there when it became Anderson, Daniel and Coxe.

In 2005, Bradley started Hodges & Coxe P.C., with friend and fellow graduate Wes Hodges. Bradley has represented both plaintiffs and defendants with all types of civil litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, construction disputes, employment and business disputes, and other contract disputes.

Bradley is married to Julie Hays Coxe and has a daughter, Ella, born in 2002, and a son, Gavin, born in 2006. He is a member of the Winter Park Presbyterian Church and the Chairman of the Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross. In the spare time he has left, Bradley is heavily involved in community theater where he experienced his biggest professional regret: he was not cast as Atticus Finch in the Thalian Association’s production of “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE
After having the opportunity to witness Mr. Coxe's skills in the courtroom ( in an unrelated matter) I decided to employ him in a HOA dispute I was having. He offered excellent and informed guidance in the matter. His promptness was appreciated and his skill apparent. I would not hesitate in recommending him.

It's more than trust...
Bradley in his team have not only helped out with legal matters, but also the transition of my father moving into his later years and taking some of the responsibility off of him. Bradley and his team have been very sensitive to the needs of my business and my father's transfer of assets. I believe your attorney should be more than someone that pushes paper and picks up a check...Bradley does that. I consider him not only our attorney, but a family friend.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence
In 2018 I loaned a business associate money. The money was not paid back per our agreement. I hired Mr. Coxe to collect on the debt. Over a period of about 3 years, Mr. Coxe perused this case and utilized several methods available to him though the court system. And in the end, his persistence paid off and he collected the debt in full.

Apartment Help
I contacted Mr. Coxe’s office because my daughter was experiencing problems at her apartment. His consultation fee was twice what he charged me meaning he only charged me half. I did not have to hire him because he gave me information on what to try, and it worked. He is very knowledgeable and fair. He told me that I could come back to him if I didn’t get the results I needed. I would completely recommend him for any legal help you might need.

Home Owners Association issue resolved!
Bradley's deep knowledge of the law and a expertly crafted letter quickly put an end to an issue my wife and I were having with our Home Owners Association. Many in the community were concerned. I took action by contacting Bradley who I was referred to by a law firm I had used in the past. The letter he crafted was reviewed by a person with a long history in the court system. That person said the letter was very articulate and well written. His rates are reasonable especially when considering his depth of knowledge. Thanks, Bradley, for a job well done!

Mr. Coxe is a true professional
Mr. Coxe was very responsive to my request for legal guidance. He helped take the emotion out the situation I was dealing with involving my minor son. He pointed me in the right direction and followed through with everything he said he was going to do. Most importantly, he was honest and realistic about our situation.

Mr. Coxe gave me some steps to take to move forward with my issue. But he also referred me to another lawyer who gave me the best info and solved the problem (hopefully!).

Super nice and down to earth guy. I was handling some corporate work on my own, and ran into a couple of questions above my pay grade, and above the NC Secretary of State's willingness to clarify and certify an important document. He was able to assure me that I had selected the proper form, and that I had covered all the legalese required for successful submission and ratification. Thanks!!

Contract advice/ trusted opinion
I'm a writer and needed someone to look at a contract between myself and a literary agency. I felt like I understood what the contract said, but there was just enough legal speak that I wanted to make sure it said what I thought it said. There were a few places that seemed redundant and I wasn't sure why and a few places that seemed to go around in circles. Mr. Coxe was very timely and presented his opinions and concerns in a way that helped me to better understand the contract at hand, He also suggested some things I needed to think about and speak to the agency about. His correspondence was concise and easy to understand--which was most helpful since the reason I contacted him was to help me understand legal wording. I didn't feel at all like he was speaking legalese. His concern and thoroughness were much appreciated. I wouldn't most certainly recommend him to anyone!
