This lawyer does not communicate well, only wanted to email and text. I requested many times a phone call or office visit but weeks will go by with no response MEANWHILE the opposing attorney is sending numerous letters to me. This lawyer never notified the court she was representing me and did NO...THING on my case. I filed a temporary parenting agreement on my own and hired this lawyer to ensure it goes through along with any further assistance with this. I was trying to see my son and his mother was keeping him from me. I was informed a FLAT FEE of $1775.00 for a Temporary parenting agreement or TPA. I paid $1500.00 towards this and was informed by mail later it was denied. I informed this lawyer and she said "because I filed it". She was extremely hard to reach, only responded to emails days after I sent them multiple times, multiple voicemails left with no response. Even after I requested a refund she said she was going to deduct phone calls, which I had begged for and only received after I requested the refund. She kept blaming the lack of communication on her being licensed in NJ as well as NC or my job schedule. I informed her early my job is aware of my situation and I can speak anytime if she tells me a time. She never did!! She has not been returning my calls, has not responded to the letter I was advised to send by the State Bar Association and weeks have gone by with NO WORDS or CONTACT from this attorney. She has not refunded me anything, even though she did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on my case.

Ms. Decosta was attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I currently live out of the state, and I had to travel back and forth for all court appointments. She ensured that I received all information in a timely manner so that I could make adequate travel arrangements since I an bond ...to a wheelchair. She returned any phone calls or messages in a timely fashion as I had many questions. Her expertise helped to guide me throughout the process which ultimately resulted in me be awarded the alimony I deserved. I am extremely appreciative and grateful to have connected with her.
