Hiring Mr. Finney was an amazing decision! He successfully, professionally and empathetically handled custody and equitable distribution matters for me during the dissolution of my marriage. Navigating that unexpected, stressful time in my life wasn’t always easy, but my encounters with Mr. Finney ...and his peers were. They consistently handled delicate matters with ease and grace. While I would consider my situation a high conflict divorce, Mr. Finney and his team didn’t flinch-they dove head first into matters with legal accuracy and precision. Throughout the process, he was communicative, timely, efficient and accessible. When Mr. Finney was in court handling matters for other clients, I dealt with his paralegal Robert who was an absolute joy and mirrored the same professionalism and courtesy exhibited by Mr. Finney. If he said he would handle something, he did. If there was a message that needed to be relayed to Mr. Finney directly, it made its way to him every time and in short order, without fail, Mr. Finney was responsive in a timely manner (and not just responsive-he jumped back in each time, finely in tune with the details of my case, to the extent that if I didn’t know how in demand his legal services are, I would not have known he was tending to multiple cases simultaneously). Sufficed to say, it was a joy and privilege to have Mr. Finney represent me. I cannot think of a more important topic than that of my children. I did not make the decision of legal representation as it pertained to custody and their wellbeing lightly. Although his legal expertise is evident immediately, Mr. Finney far exceeded my expectations. I am, and will continue to be, incredibly grateful to him and his team!

I never willingly hired him in the first place. I hired his colleague, but after taking my retainer, suddenly she was "too busy" and he was shoved onto my case. From the start I knew he was wrong for the job, but I was desperate. Huge mistake. Trusting him cost me dearly. He billed thousands but fil...ed nothing, and from what I could see, did nothing. He actually had the nerve to suggest I represent myself but pay him to “ghostwrite" Whoever heard of paying a lawyer so you can represent yourself ?! I fired him, hired an amazing replacement then fought his bloated, error-ridden bill. I got some of my money back but it was nothing compared to what he cost me and my family in lost time. Zero stars if that were an option.
