Todd Browning is a founding partner of Browning & Long, PLLC who practices in the areas of Traffic Law, DWI Law, and Criminal Defense.

As an Assistant District Attorney with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office (Charlotte, NC), Todd handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases in District Court. Todd’s time at the District Attorney’s Office provided him with unparalleled exposure to litigating cases in a courtroom.

Before being sworn in as an Assistant District Attorney, Todd also gained invaluable insight into the criminal justice system and the legal process through his nearly five years of employment with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Todd graduated magna cum laude from Charlotte School of Law with his law degree. He also completed undergraduate work at Bowling Green State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2004 and his Master of Science in Criminal Justice in 2005.

When not practicing law, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife Mandy and their three Labrador Retrievers, Charlee, Bentley, and Cleveland. Todd is also passionate about working out, playing basketball, and mountain biking.

Great Attorney!

Mr. Browning helped me get my license back after it was suspended for excessive speeding. Mr. Browning worked hard during the holiday season, communicating with me every step of the way. I am so appreciative of the way Mr. Browning worked so hard to help me.

Incredible Representation!!!

I received a speeding ticket that was 23 mph over the speed limit. I hired Mr Browning to handle this for me. I should have had multiple points added to my license and had a hefty fine but he was able to get the ticket reduced to improper equipment, no points, and a $50.00 fine. When I received his email stating the good news, I could not believe it but it was true! If you need help with any tickets, I highly suggest that you contact Browning and Long NOW! Hire Todd. Now.

If you're reading this, that means something crappy has happened and you're looking for a criminal defense attorney. I have good news, you're now done looking, hire Todd. I spoke with 4-5 other attorneys before hiring Mr. Browning. He was the only one that even entertained the idea of engaging with the DA before my court date (which was almost two months away) to try to get my case dismissed. He delivered. Instead of having to wait two months for my scheduled court date, nine days after hiring him, Todd got my case dismissed. During those nine days he was responsive to my questions, kept me informed, and was patient and kind, while recognizing how stressful being charged with a nonsense crime can be. Honest, professional & fair.

I Hired this firm to represent me in a speed violation case and I couldn't be happier with the end result. I got a speeding ticket in North Carolina, and I live in Florida, and this was a very inconvenient citation, involving a potential 10 hrs. drive on a business day appear in court!!! Mr. Browning did exactly what he projected and was able to reduced the ticket to a Improper Equipment infraction, by far the best scenario! I saved so much time & money...I'm so grateful to Mr. Browning!

Traffic Ticket

After I got my traffic ticket I received a lot of letters from Lawyers and I called several. I called him and he was up front with the hole procedure explaining in detail what I could expect. Unlike the others he was very knowledgeable and I sent him over everything and he went to court and got my ticket down without and points or any increase in my insurance. He has answered all my questions and I would highly recommend him.

Amazing counsel and results! 10/10 Attorney

I was referred to Mr. Browning by a friend who has worked previously in the District Attorneys office, and was told he was a fantastic traffic court attorney to have on your side. I was not disappointed! Mr. Browning was able to not only get my intial citation reduced (and reduced significantly more than I thought was even possible given my traffic history). He was detailed in every step of the process, appeared to court on my behalf, and promptly after getting an extremely favorable result from the judge, reached out to tell me the good news. While often times small/traffic court cases are not taken seriously by attorneys, Mr. Browning handled my case and unfortunate situation with a level of professionalism and sincerity that I have not seen in a long time. Needless to say, I will be recommending him to my friends and family in the future.

Simply amazing!!

I was being charged with speeding more than 20 mphs and with a suspended license without even know that it was suspended. I was a bit too worried for the worse to be honest than I would have to pay a huge fine or do a bit of jail time since there were so many complications between obtaining my license here in NC and the insurance company. But the end result was great!! I only was charged with improper equipment and only have to pay $263. I recommend Mr. Todd Browning for everything. 5 stars from me.

Speeding Ticket Assitance

From the moment I spoke with Todd on the telephone regarding the consultation for my sons speeding ticket in a work zone I knew he was the attorney we were retaining to represent him! He was very kind, patient, knowledgeable and clear on what he was going to attempt to achieve and what he truly felt he was going to be able to get for my son. He was very honest and upfront and realistic and did not tell me things I wanted to hear to gain our business. Right away he emailed me the info as he stated and every step of the way he would send updates of things and reply when he received emails from us. The day of court he emailed us the outcome within a few hours. I wasn't happy to have had to get a lawyer to represent my son for speeding, however Todd was a great decision and the outcome was better then we thought it would be. I would reccomend his services if they are needed for sure!

Excellent

I found myself working with Todd Browning when I got a speeding ticket about a month ago. Not only was he able to get me the lower charge that we had discussed, but he was also able to lower the fees associated with the charge. Rate Christopher Todd Browning

I would absolutely recommend him for any traffic violation! not only did he take my call while in court, but thoroughly explained EVERYTHING to me. I was so scared ~this was my first real big offense and he calmed me down and assured me he would take care of everything. He showed up on my court date for me and emailed me right after to let me know that he was able to get my fine down without points on license or insurance. Just like he said. The final fine was also exactly what he quoted. GREAT JOB!!!!
