Academic Integrity Violation Case Evaluation

Ann helped me a lot in my academic integrity violation case. She gave advice and went over rules and regulations with me. She, also, taught me how to be self aware of my case. I was very thankful for her help, and I recommend her for others as well.

Big help with IEP resolution

We hired Ann to help us with an issue we were having with our daughter's IEP. Our district was not providing us services, and Ann and her office helped us file the complaint to our district. After that, she went through all the different approaches we could take to deal with our district detailing, t...he advantages, risks, and cost associated with each. When we had our resolution meeting with the district, we elected not to have her in the meeting since it meant the district could not bring a lawyer either. However, Ann detailed exactly how the meeting would go and helped us organize all our paperwork and information for the meeting. During the meeting, we felt confident and prepared, in fact, we felt more prepared than the district. The outcome of the meeting was that the district gave us everything we asked for including costs accrued. This was a slow and stressful process, so it was very helpful to have Ann and her team walking us through each step of the way. She was very knowledgeable on the aspects of the law that surrounded our complaint and that helped us greatly to advocate confidently for ourselves. I would highly recommend Ann if you have any issues surrounding educational disability laws.

Charged multiple retainer fees and then unexpectedly dropped me as a client

I was a client of Ann Paradis from November of 2015-March 2016. I had received an unfortunate and wrongful dismissal from a graduate school academic program in October of 2015 and sought Ann's legal assistance. Ann was clear with me in the beginning that the school had committed a number of violation...s and that she would help me fight for justice. These violations included mistreatment, retaliation, and denial of due process rights. I noticed that after I had agreed to hire Ann, it became more and more difficult to get a hold of her via phone or email. On two occasions, she sent out letters to the school with multiple errors before receiving my approval. She seemed very irritated that I did not approve of this. I had put in a great deal of time organizing my documents and evidence that were pertinent to the case, but I never got the feeling that she thoroughly reviewed them. After spending three weeks drafting a letter for Ann's review with the help of a family attorney, Ann unexpectedly sent me an email, stating she was declining to provide any more legal assistance. She refused to even read the letter that I had spent so much time on. Now, I must hire another attorney and pay another hefty fee just to get them on board with my case. I would be extremely hesitant to hire Ann as your attorney for any matter.

Review of Ann Paradis

Ann Paradis took the time to listen to my story. She approached it with an open mind during a time in my life when I felt hopeless and trapped by my situation. I had hit a point where nothing was goin my way and I was preparing to accept major life changes that I thought to I didn't deserve. I did no...t know what to expect when I met with her but the results were better than I could have ever imagined, especially considering my situation was worse than I ever could have imagined. After she evaluated everything there was to look at, she took an interest in my case and an interest in helping me get back to where I needed to be. She kept me informed. She was thoughtful but direct in her advisement. She does not waste time or money. Her command of language is phenomenal. Her ability to draw just conclusions that are backed up by law allowed me to get back on my feet and continue to follow my dreams. She is a subject matter expert when it comes to education law and I believe her to be one of the most fair and balanced people I have ever met.

inexperienced and unprofessional

I see all these good reviews and im shocked because I questioned why she was in family law. She didnt seen to put her all at fighting for my family. Also when I had a court hearing she wasnt prepared and didn't have a very inportant document. I felt cheated and had the nerve to bill me even after I c...alled her out on the things she didn't do.
