Best Animal Welfare Lawyer

Calley Gerber is AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about her. She is the only person I would recommend and trust to handle legal situations involving animal welfare. My husband and I were in a very bad place when we came to her, in regards to an incident that happened to our puppy at our vet. S...he sticks to what she knows is right, genuinely cares about what is best for her client(s), and didn't ever make us feel pressured when making decisions. We were pretty much out of financial resources due to our situation, and she was very understanding of this and worked with us to take the best course of action. She wrote a very professional and strongly worded demand letter for us, and it got us what we needed. She really went above and beyond, and I can't thank her enough for her help in our situation! 10 stars!

Tuxedo, not just a dog to me

great to work with, responded to my message very quickly, and after so many no's it made me feel happy when i called her office to talk to her and was told she was out of the office that day rescuing another dog, and i knew i had found my attorney to talk to about what had happened, very knowledgeab...le and answered all my questions and my continuing questions, gave and still gives me advice , even through i have not pursed a legal case at this time i would recommend her to anyone who loves animals as i had a lot of no's before i found Calley Gerber . no details to share as i am at this time pursing other avenues of accountability for what happened to my Tuxedo , and if i do decide to pursue a suit against the party i think is responsible for what happened to Tuxedo this attorney, will be my choice

Saving Sadie Mae

I contacted Ms Gerber about our 2yo pit bull, Sadie Mae, who had been impounded after she got out of our fenced in yard and attacked our neighbor's small dog. Sadie Mae had been a wonderful family pet for us, good with our other dog and other dogs she had been around as well our small grandchildren. ...The shelter gave us 10 days to find a rescue group because we could not keep her, but our neighbors were pushing for her to be euthanized. The shelter also seemed to be undermining our efforts to find a placement (information sheet on her crate said she had killed two dogs which was incorrect). As we were approaching the end of her time we had found a group to take her in CA, but were afraid they were going to proceed with euthanasia and not give us time to get her move arranged. Ms Gerber actually contacted me on Sunday after I sent an email on the weekend and advised us of the county ordinances and appeal process that would allow us more time to rescue Sadie Mae. When it appeared that they might be proceeding towards euthanasia she stayed in close contact with us and even found a kennel that would take her until we could get her moved to CA. Thankfully we were able to get her moved to CA and save her life. We would not have been able to do this without Ms Gerber's support and advice. She is obviously very dedicated to the rights and lives of animals. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing assistance in an animal-related issue.

Highly Recommend

I would highly recommend Calley Gerber. I was an expert witness for a mutual client. She was amazing to work with, very professional and very dedicated to our case. She had so much knowledge of the legal process and made us feel at ease. I could immediately tell we were in great hands. She was very o...rganized and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure working with her and would recommend her to everyone.

Defense of Dog with HOA

Our two dogs got into a fight about food in our home and I asked for our neighbor for assistance. After the fight one of our dogs was quarantined and our neighbors were upset that we were bringing her home and complained to the HOA. The HOA would NOT let us bring our dog home after the quarantine pe...riod until we had a hearing so they could decide if she was okay to live in the neighborhood. We contacted Calley and after talking with her for a consultation, we decided to hire her to represent us at the hearing. We brought evidence of our dog's training, letters and photos of her interacting with people. Calley presented our case clearly with excellent opening and closing arguments. She explained the weakness in the HOA rules that would not hold up in court. She demonstrated to the HOA and neighbors that we were taking this situation seriously and would not be bullied. We won our case and were able to bring our dog home to our family. We are so grateful that a friend recommended her to us.
