Calley Gerber

I was served with a civil summons for a dog bite incident by a lawyer whose interaction reminded me of scams from the internet (rude, curt, designed to produce panic, etc.) I contacted Gerber Law and talked to Calley. She was friendly, helpful, and made it clear that despite this being the first i...ncident my best option was to contact my insurance company and let them handle it. Something I'd avoided due to the outrageous amount demanded by the other lawyer. She also was clear on the kind of costs associated with defending against such a lawsuit. If you need someone who will give you the unvarnished truth in a way that won't cause you panic, that won't scare you off, and help you choose a path, I can think of no one better than Gerber Law.

I contacted Ms Gerber about our 2yo pit bull, Sadie Mae, who had been impounded after she got out of our fenced in yard and attacked our neighbor's small dog. Sadie Mae had been a wonderful family pet for us, good with our other dog and other dogs she had been around as well our small grandchildren. ...The shelter gave us 10 days to find a rescue group because we could not keep her, but our neighbors were pushing for her to be euthanized. The shelter also seemed to be undermining our efforts to find a placement (information sheet on her crate said she had killed two dogs which was incorrect). As we were approaching the end of her time we had found a group to take her in CA, but were afraid they were going to proceed with euthanasia and not give us time to get her move arranged. Ms Gerber actually contacted me on Sunday after I sent an email on the weekend and advised us of the county ordinances and appeal process that would allow us more time to rescue Sadie Mae. When it appeared that they might be proceeding towards euthanasia she stayed in close contact with us and even found a kennel that would take her until we could get her moved to CA. Thankfully we were able to get her moved to CA and save her life. We would not have been able to do this without Ms Gerber's support and advice. She is obviously very dedicated to the rights and lives of animals. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing assistance in an animal-related issue.

Calley Gerber has to be one of the most genuine, unique, highly educated & most all around awesome person I've ever met. Our 11 week old english bulldog was mauled to death by a large breed dog while being boarded at a facility while we were on vacation. This happened on a Saturday. I was given Cal...ley's name on Sunday so I called and left a message. By 10 am Monday morning we were in her office. We told her our story and she provided us a level of comfort that we needed to hear. She has and still is working very diligently on our case. She has stayed in constant contact with us and even reached out to other animal control employees to find out where we are with this investigation. She will not let your case rest until she gets answers! Her compassion for animals is very obvious when you sit and talk with her so she takes all her cases to heart, literally. I am thankful that our paths crossed with Calley Gerber.
