Ms. Allen hasmany years of experience in the legal field. A 2005 graduate of NorthCarolina Central University School of Law, Ruth M. Allen was formerly aCertified Legal Assistant for 15 years.
Her experience includes estateplanning and probate, guardianship matters, and consumer advocacy. She serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in Wake County, and has workedpart time at Legal Aid of North Carolina.
Ms. Allen is a retiredCommander in the United States Navy, having served for over 20 years in theReserve Component.
Personal Philosophy:
My main service areasinclude bankruptcy (Chapter 7 only) and debt defense. I am interested inhelping those clients who are struggling with harassment by collectors, and whomay be unaware that they can possibly take advantage of North Carolina'sconsumer friendly laws and sue the creditor.
I also help people planfor unforeseen events in their lives, as well as end of life planning. I havevisited many folks in their homes or in hospice to record their final desiresfor distribution of their personal belongings, which gives them peace of mind.
