Parisa Houshmandpour is a defense attorney in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated with honors from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in Criminology and minoring in Anthropology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law.
Ms. Houshmandpour's training began when she interned at the District Attorney's office in Guilford County, giving her valuable insight into the strengths and weaknesses of prosecution cases. This inside experience gives her an advantage in assessing the prosecution's case against her clients. Working at Roberts Law Group and the Coolidge Law Firm, gave her tremendous amount of experience and knowlege in defending the accused.
Houshmandpour feels that her true calling is defending the accused. She is keenly aware that there are two sides in every case and spends time carefully listening and understanding her client's situation. She works zealously to protect her client's constitutional rights and, if retained early in the process, she will represent her client in dealing with the investigators, the arrest process, the preliminary hearing, and obtaining a bond. She carefully reviews the charges and facts, and analyzes potential constitutional violations. She evaluates the prosecution's burden, defenses, and potential sentencing issues.
