Life changing decision!

Marcia Stewart represented me for family court. From the moment I spoke with Marcia, she put my fears at ease, and brought a sense of calm, common sense, knowledge, fairness, and compromise to our situation. In court, she expressed our situation so eloquently and organized, and her knowledge and unde...rstanding of the legal system was amazing. When you are in a position of having to search for an attorney, finding the “right” attorney is key, and can be a very difficult task. Marcia Stewart not only exceeded my expectations with representation, but she was my personal advocate. The service she provided my family was priceless!

The best - even (and especially) with complex cases

Simply put, I had a complex case that required lots of detailed review and evidence. Marcia and her staff took the time to understand the situation and prepared the evidence to make a potentially messy situation very clear. Her representation not only gave me the confidence to fight for my parental r...ights, but also won those rights back. Would I recommend her? Without a doubt!!

Attorney Review

Marcia handled my child custody case as well as other ongoing issues against my soon to be ex wife. At a time where fathers, especially successful working fathers with stay at home wives, are cast aside by so many when it comes to sharing equally in the raising of their young children, it takes an at...torney with not only the knowledge of the law, but one who has real people skills to make the process understandable so the client can feel they have the best chance at the desired result. Marcia will do that for you and did it for me. Its a frustrating situation to be dragged into a legal process you dont understand, didnt want, and cannot control. The last thing any client wants is to get advice and help from someone who acts distant, unemotional, and non caring because you are just the latest client who cant get along with a spouse or agree on custody arrangements for your kids. While I had to personally face my own emotional frustrations, when it came to something so sensitive as child custody process, I was glad Marcia was there for me because she was real and not some stuffed shirt only concerned about her image and banking her fee. I felt at ease going through each issue with her and was glad for her simple and direct explanations about the strengths and weaknesses of my case while making me feel like I mattered as a father of two little girls who wanted and needed to have their father share in their upbringing. Choosing a lawyer is very important when it comes to any issue, but none more so than when it comes to issues related to the family. In addition to having your lawyer deal with you honestly, relate to you as a person, and offer support while letting you know that you also have responsibilities throughout the process, you need someone who has the day to day knowledge of the local court system and all the players including Judges and opposing counsel. Marcia knows that as well as anyone in Johnston County. These subtle but important factors must be considered when choosing a lawyer because you are putting your case's hands in one Judge who makes a life changing decision. Marcia used to be a Judge so she knows the ins and outs of making sure your case is presented to the Judge in the best way. Your comfort level with your attorney is very important as you will have to interact with him or her regularly to make sure your case is organized and handled in the best possible way. I recommend Marcia not only because of her knowledge and experience but mainly because I feel like I am talking to a real person when she is working with me on my case. She knows what questions to ask so I can provide the proper information while staying away from issues that are not really relevant to the result. She can relate to every type of person and with my fiery and direct personality combined with the expectations I have, I am not the easiest person to deal with and she handled me properly and professionally. Ultimately its about results and Marcia won joint 50/50 custody for me against my spouse who felt me having little to no time with them was more appropriate. From day one I was told by others that the facts did not automatically allow for a working father to share equal custody with a stay at home mom with the kids being so young so it seemed to be an uphill battle. Marcia fought for me and did what she needed to do to get me equal custody and I am very thankful for her work. Marcia did as well as anyone could for me on this issue and I would highly recommend her for any person needing someone to handle custody issues in Johnston County.

A Lawyer Who Cares

Marcia Stewart went above and beyond for me and my children in my divorce and child custody case. She was always there when I needed information, or got into a situation I didn't know how to handle. I can't imagine how things would have turned out if she hadn't been on my side. She helped me, the ...Father of two young children, obtain full custody of both of them. I will forever be grateful for her help, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for legal help.
