also known as Ashley Fillippeli (formerly Stucker)
Ashley graduated Campbell Law (Cum Laude) with an eye toward criminal law. In law school she interned in the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Raleigh, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission.
It seemed as if she was well on the way to a career as a criminal defense attorney after graduation from law school, when the firm where Ashley worked became in need of a family law attorney. Ashley either volunteered or was volunteered (the facts are somewhat cloudy), but the result was like something out of Hollywood sports movie: the [almost] brand new attorney thrown into a family law trial and thriving.
Flash forward almost ten years, and Ashley is not only a family law attorney, handling a heavy load of cases from intake through depositions, mediation, and trial when necessary, she’s on an impressive – and close to unprecedented – six years and counting run as a North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star.
It’s pretty easy to see why all of us at Triangle Smart Divorce are thrilled Ashley chose to bring her knowledge, experience, empathy, and passion for family law to our team.

I was very pleased with Ashley’s work ethic and her attention to my case. Ashley Stucker was absolutely amazing. She handled a child custody matter for me. When deciding who to hire to handle my matter, as a father I wanted someone who would fight, and Ashley did just that. She explained every step of the process in perfect detail. When we had our hearing it was clear she ...

I had hired Ashley to help me when I decided to separate from my husband of 24 years. I honestly didn't know where to start, and Ashley was amazing. Besides for being extremely professional, she was so down to earth, and easy to talk to. She has always made sure that all of my questions were answered...

Ashley was extremely professional, empathetic and very knowledgeable. She explained a lot of legal jargon which made it easy for me to understand. I would highly recommend Ashley.
"Ashley is a fantastic family law attorney. She was one of the first attorneys I ever worked with, and years later, she is still my first reference for potential clients in the Raleigh area. Ashley is also very down to earth, and that allows her to able to explain complicated legal concepts to her clients in a way they can understand. As any attorney, she can't make promises about outcomes, but she will give you her honest assessment of whether you need an attorney, your likelihood of success, settlement possibilities, the merits of your claim, and candidly and fairly discuss fees. She's also experienced in appellate law and has an outstanding ability for developing and explaining appellate arguments in family law cases."
"Ashley is an incredible attorney. She is dedicated to her clients and fights hard for them. She is the best person to have on your team. She is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent litigator."
"If you are in the Raleigh area and have a family law matter, then Ashley is the attorney for you! She is extremely talented and passionate about her cases. She is professional at all times. I would feel completely confident walking into a court room with her by my side. I highly recommend her to everyone."
"Ashley Stucker is relentless in representing her clients both in and out of the courtroom. If you are looking for a family law attorney that is passionate about your case and you want someone that won't give up or scare easily, then Ashley should be your first choice. I highly recommend Ashley."
"Ashley was one of the first attorneys I had a case with when I started practicing in a new district. I enjoy having cases against her because we are able to communicate about issues in our case outside of court. Her willingness to communicate with the other attorney serves her clients very well and helps make family law cases less painful for them when it is possible. Essentially, she is adversarial when she needs to be but she doesn't make it personal. I endorse her."
"Ashley is confident, intelligent and professional. She is already extremely experienced in all aspects of Family Law representation. Ashley can sort through even the most complicated of issues and is dedicated to to the goals of her clients."
