I hired this attorney many years ago for my divorce from an abusive husband and custody of my small children. Despite I had been a stay-home mother with all the children, she did not fight for any alimony and she negotiated joint custody and the father won, despite letting her know he was abusive an...d us pleading for full custody from the father who immediately after began being reported by the daycares and schools for abuse of the children during his weeklong visitations. Since the dad was a teacher and Pastor, they did not want to believe. The dad was later arrested for beating/bruising my 5 year old son unconscious and my son was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from the abuse and spent many years in and out of Psychiatric hospitals, suicidal, homicidal. This was after many years of DSS battles, police, and court battles. We obtained another lawyer who was our angel & helped tremendously and helped save my children from the years of abuse they had endured due to this. I had to take two jobs to support these children as the father would rarely pay child support and with the joint custody Ms Farland negotiated, he had to pay $12 per month. This decision was one that I will always regret.
