          Family law has been my passion for my entire career as an attorney, in addition to raising my daughter and helping raise my stepdaughters.  Understanding the difficulty faced by individuals going through the process of separation and divorce is key to giving them excellent advice and helping them navigate the often tricky waters of our divorce system.  

          Working with parties and opposing counsel to attempt a reasonable settlement of issues is typically better for the parties and any minor children, in addition to being less expensive and often taking less time to complete.  Further, even though both parties are likely to have to compromise in some areas, they are often more pleased with the resulting agreement than when a judge makes a determination that can seldom be modified.
