Tara Kay Johnson

Tara was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia. Having spent much of her childhood on the east coast of North Carolina, she decided to attend East Carolina University for her undergraduate degree. Subsequently, Tara attended Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina where she met her now husband, Patrick, during their first year as law students. Upon graduating and passing the Bar Exam in 2011, Tara and Patrick decided to plant their roots in the Triad.

Tara's passion for not only the law and courtroom, but for people and families in general are what drive her desire to practice domestic and family law. Tara prides herself in being diligent in her communication with her clients and supporting them during every step of the sometimes daunting process of the family law court system. Tara understands the enormity of the situation and decisions her clients are facing when they come to her and strives to be her client's strength and representative in those times.

 When Tara is not in the office or court, she enjoys gardening, live music, reading, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and rescue pup!
