Not as good as expected

Due to the excellent reviews online, I used to have high expectation for Megan. However, she's not as good as I expected. One major problem is communication. She's always slow to reply to email, sometimes even more than a week after sending her several follow-up emails. Or sometimes she just didn't r...eply. What I expected for a professional attorney is being able to reply to the client's email within 24 hours or 48 hours maximum. Also, sometimes she didn't communicate with me before taking further action with my case which is what I don't want and leads to unnecessary costs.

Excellent Attorney - one of the few with International family law experience

Megan has been my attorney on a very challenging international child custody case where I was alienated from my daughter for several months. The conditions of the existing order made travelling for visitation very challenging. Megan went above and beyond when opposing counsel attempted legal mane...uvering on holiday periods or during weekends to ensure my daughter's rights were established. Most of all, Megan stayed focused on task - she didn't get lost in the drama that ensued from this case. The legal system can be challenging but Megan articulates in a manner that simplifies the issues at hand.

Custody and Child Support

Excellent results in resolving custody and child support for teenagers. I am extremely satisfied with the attention to detail, and quick resolution while in court. I couldn't recommend more highly.

Custody of Grandchild

Megan did exactly as promised and when it came to interviewing my grandson she was able to piece together many details that he would not have been comfortable doing with a stranger but her style and kindness allowed him to open up . That was key in helping this otherwise difficult case.

A LEGAL FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH, IN FAMILY LAW

My child custody case was extremely complex. Megan was excellent in answering all of my concerns. She informed me of my rights and supported me throughout the process . I was nervous about everything. She was calm and reassuring. Megan was always available by phone or email, or text. Megan is passion...ate about her clients and their representation in the court room. She was a complete pleasure to work with. Megan is fierce in the court room and gets excellent results. I highly recommend Megan, she has integrity, she is accurate and to the point. If you want results there is only one that you should make, and that is to Megan Spidell. Megan has excellent staff support. She worked with my NY lawyer and had excellent communication skills. She has tremendous interpersonal skills with court house staff and other lawyers alike. I highly recommend Megan Spidell, without her I would not have sole custody of my girls today, I would not have peace of mind, and that is priceless. For lack of a better word Megan Spidell is just an AWESOME lawyer!
