Let me start by saying this dude is AMAZING. He is very professional and upfront. I contacted him several times before retaining him on my guns right s restoration case. He always took the time to explain what I was up against and that is was a uphill battle. But If I was willing to let him fight, th...en he would put his best foot forward. He explains every detail to the best of his ability and always gives you a honest opinion. My case was a little different than most. I had a military court martial and a Virginia beach felony case in my background. Most attorneys I spoke to in the area was like no way will you ever be able to touch a firearm again. Well let me be the first to say as of 3/4/22 thanks to Mr. Herron I was given my rights to bear arms again. He didn't judge me. He just took my case and went threw the process with due diligence. He's a gun guy and has done his homework in the Virginia court system. So if you are interested in hiring a lawyer for any type of gun case then this is your guy!!!

Restoring my gun rights was a long term pursuit from the day I had lost those rights. I had researched every potential lawyer in the state of Virginia to hire for that type of case. Mr. Herron was and is the only one I will ever recommend for this type of case. As he was the ONLY lawyer that approach...ed me without judgment and and pursued my case head on and straight forward. He didn’t beat around the bush and laid out the road ahead. On the day my court date he had drove 6hrs to the other side of VA to represent me. During the hearing he executed my case flawlessly and gave me hope on what I thought was going to be impossible. If one is in need of a neurosurgeon. Certainly one would want the best one you could find right? If you want the best lawyer to represent you in a specialized case as gun rights restoration then don’t look anywhere else but to Mr. Herron! I would have easily paid him 10k or whatever he asked for the way he presented himself, his practice, and represented me from day one! Mr. Herron was very honest and strait forward upfront telling me what to and what not to expect from the very beginning. Through the entire process he was very sincere and I could tell he realy actually cared he wasnt just thier for money. I had two felonys on my record even though he did tell me thi...s is rare to work out this well inside of three months even with the covid pandemic he was able to get everything resolved and all of my gun rights restored and I never even had to go to court. Through the entire process he constantly kept me updated as to what was happening and going on with my case thier is no way I could ever repay or thank him for the service he provided me.

In August 2018, I was traveling to New York from Virginia. I passed through TSA in Richmond with my Ruger .380 in my messenger bag (it has a hidden pocket). I was in such a rush I had forgotten it was there. Dumb, I know, but it happened. The police were very professional. I received a summons. While... in New York I discovered Mr. Herron's website and his discussion of a similar scenario and how he handles these situations immediately put me at ease. I called him and was further put at ease. Upon my return to Virginia Mr. Herron and I worked the problem by phone and e-mail (he lives in Virginia Beach and I live in Fredericksburg) but I knew that he was always available to me. Moreover, he maintained constant telephone contact with me to provide updates and to discuss my case. And when it was time to stand before the judge, he drove up to be with me. I'm a retired military man with combat experience but no experience with the court system and I was quite anxious about the whole thing. Mr. Herron was understanding and helpful and made sure I knew everything I needed to know. What made matters worse was that the prosecutor went off on a tangent that was surprising. Thus, after my hearing, I had to see two judges on the same day, neither of whom were willing to make a call in my favor regarding the commonwealth attorney's recommendation. I'll be honest: I freaked! I haven't been that scared since I was under fire. But Mr. Herron calmed me down and then he laid out a plan. We followed that plan and the next time I saw a judge (a different judge than the two before), the prosecutor declined to prosecute. Frankly, since more and more of these accidents are occurring, and judges and prosecutors are looking to make an example out of someone, nolle prosequi was what I was aiming for. And Mr. Herron made it happen, despite the bumps in the road along the way. I know this is a long post, so I'll stop here. The main point is, if you ever find yourself in a like situation, you will find no better representative in court than Robert Herron. I am genuinely grateful to God that I found him.
