EXCELLENT ATTORNEY

She represented me and helped with my children when my ex-husband lived in another state. She stayed in constant contact with me. She made sure I stayed calm during the hearing and made sure my children were safe. Would definitely hire her again!

Two Great Kids

We had Ms. Weaver appointed to our kids a year ago. She was the second attorney we had. After working with Ms. Weaver, I was shocked because she was so much more thorough than our first attorney. She definitely talked with my children several times, did background checks and came to our home. Ou...r prior attorney for the children did very little. She seems very busy, so you do have to wait to get appointments. I had to tell myself that it would be a worse sign if she was in the office all the time with no business. Our case was very stressful but she definitely stood up for what was best for the kids. Very happy.

MY SENTIMENTS TO THE FIRST REVIEW

She appears to be very over committed as far as cases go, thereby not giving your case the attention it needs. As previously stated, she smiles in your face but really could care less how the case turns out and in fact comes across like she really does not want to be bothered. Phone calls to the o...ffice were often never returned or many days later. I just did not feel that she really was invested in my case. Advocating is what she DOES however it is not who she is.

As I was not your lawyer and did not represent you in Court, my response is limited in scope. The expectation that a Guardian would be concerned over a "parent's case" is a misconception. That is only one consideration. The law requires representation of the child's interests, which are not always perfectly aligned with just one parent's opinion. Ultimately, the Court's look at the child as the primary focus. Appeal is always an option if you felt the Court did not give your opinion appropriate weight.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
