I grew up in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. I attended Old Dominion University and Francis Marion University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I attend law school at the University of Richmond where I served as an intern with Legal Aid and the office of the Chesapeake Commonwealth's Attorney. I have served on the board of the Autism Society of Tidewater since 2009 and am very active in the autism community. I enjoy volunteering and spending time with my husband and four children.
