Super Lawyer - Cynthia Chaing

Going through a contested divorce proceeding is an emotional roller coaster ride that no one wants to ride alone, especially if you have been married for almost 25 years. Nonetheless; when I hired Cynthia Chaing, I was definitely NOT alone. She had an entire “Wonder Woman” team, which included, Jen...nifer Shupert - Partner, Tammy Womack - Paralegal and Deborah Risley - Office Manager. The key for me was that Cynthia and I were so compatible and that she made me feel as if my case was always high priority. I had tremendous respect for the experience she brought to the table and her ability to negotiate was definitely noteworthy. I was especially impressed that during the entire process, it was evident that Cynthia Chaing was well-respected among her peers and the judges. I had such an undeniable trust with her. Her favorite saying to me was, “Does that make sense?” because it was important to her that I had a complete understanding of the process and that I was continuously updated of findings from opposing counsel. I also had the unique opportunity to be actively engaged in my case and I witnessed firsthand her focus, drive and work ethic. COVID-19 posed its own challenges, as we had to go to trial virtually. It was in the form of a Zoom Call, just a view of our faces, but when Cynthia Chaing appeared on the screen, that is when I’m sure that even the Judge felt the WOW factor!! We had a full view of her team that was set up in their elegant conference room and it was at that point that I got this overwhelming sense of calmness that this was going to be a favorable outcome because they created a backdrop that said, “We Win!” I am happy to say, that is exactly what happened. “We Won!” It is without hesitation, that I strongly recommend Cynthia Chaing as your Family Law Attorney.

Polished, gracious and kind with a firm principled core

Attorney Chaing was an invaluable guide and advocate navigating the painful, complicated process of divorce. My former spouse and I entered the process amicably, unified in our goals of a respectful process and a fair outcome. He and I did not always agree on "fair", of course, and she was adept at n...egotiating in my favor when indicated. At other times, Attorney Chaing was prepared to press more aggressively for terms I was willing to concede. She ensured I was educated on the law and customs and respected my wishes. Professional, simultaneously approachable and firm, she navigated a fine line with grace to craft a mutually satisfactory agreement. More than two years later, my former spouse and I not only remain satisfied both with the process and with the outcome, we also remain excellent parenting partners and friends.

Agressive with a smile :)

I hired Ms. Chaing for what I thought was a SIMPLE custody case. This was a hard decision as I wanted to navigate the court system on my own. I made the right decision, why chance the most important thing in your lifetime?! You are already up every night stressed, why not have someone in your corn...er! The case took 8 months due to the multiple hearings and even though it felt like an eternity, it was pushed along quicker due to Ms. Chaing. I did get the outcome that was in the best interest of my son. Custody claims are not easy to navigate, can change quickly and the guardians are too busy to really dig into the details of the cases. I strongly recommend Ms. Chaing, she is responsive, easy to work with, will explain all scenarios and give you a realistic picture of how the case will go. Just provide her with your support and she does the rest!

She’s the best!

Cynthia is great! I was referred to her by another client after my separation. I was nervous at first because I’ve never needed a lawyer before. After I sat with her for a consultation i knew she was the right person. So I hired her for child custody and visitation. She is very caring and very knowle...dgeable. She helped me every step of the way and made sure I understood everything before going in to court. She talked me though what to expect during mediation and I felt very prepared walking in. Needless to say she won my case and if I ever needed representation again I would definitely go back to her.

Worth every penny!

When it became apparent I needed to hire counsel to support me in gaining full custody of my children I immediately knew I had to hire Cynthia. She was incredibly thorough and diligent in walking me through the process, always calm and in control, and accessible when I needed her. It was a long proce...ss and a lot of work, but Cynthia made it as smooth as possible and I couldn't have done it without her.
