Skilled Expert in Family Law

Cynthia is an excellent attorney that is well respected, personable, extremely intelligent, and has an impeccable understanding of family law. She has represented me for several years with a series of complex family law matters including a protective order, divorce, custody, and visitation. I came to... Cynthia distraught and needing representation in a very short time frame. I was previously represented by a separate established law firm but with inadequate results. Cynthia was booked out for nearly a month but both she and her staff were compassionate as I pleaded for a consult. She provided a consult within days and even though her schedule was booked she agreed to take my case with less than two weeks of my initial court date. My situation was complex and when another well respected attorney declined my case due to fears for their safety, Cynthia did not back down. Instead, she listened, gathered facts, and assessed my situation. This is one trait, of many, that I love about her. She is fierce both in and out of the court room, representing her clients armed with tenacity and case law. She is straight forward and does not fluff possible outcomes but instead diligently prepares you for what may lie ahead. Each time we have stepped in court (and there have been many) we’ve had success. The moment she stepped into the lives of my children and I, our quality of life significantly improved. We have been safe and incredibly happy and for this I am forever grateful. Because she’s represented me for so long, I can assure you she represents both her female and male clients equally advocating for their rights and their children’s well being. Super Lawyer - Cynthia Chaing

Going through a contested divorce proceeding is an emotional roller coaster ride that no one wants to ride alone, especially if you have been married for almost 25 years. Nonetheless; when I hired Cynthia Chaing, I was definitely NOT alone. She had an entire “Wonder Woman” team, which included, Jen...nifer Shupert - Partner, Tammy Womack - Paralegal and Deborah Risley - Office Manager. The key for me was that Cynthia and I were so compatible and that she made me feel as if my case was always high priority. I had tremendous respect for the experience she brought to the table and her ability to negotiate was definitely noteworthy. I was especially impressed that during the entire process, it was evident that Cynthia Chaing was well-respected among her peers and the judges. I had such an undeniable trust with her. Her favorite saying to me was, “Does that make sense?” because it was important to her that I had a complete understanding of the process and that I was continuously updated of findings from opposing counsel. I also had the unique opportunity to be actively engaged in my case and I witnessed firsthand her focus, drive and work ethic. COVID-19 posed its own challenges, as we had to go to trial virtually. Helped master a peaceful resolution to a family in need

Our situation was all too familiar in this era. A daughter in an abusive relationship and a toddler granddaughter living in a dangerous home. With the help of Mrs Chaing and a dedicated social worker we were able to gain custody of our granddaughter and provide her a safe stable home. Mrs Chaings kno...wledge of law, and compassion for the innocent child, provided the crucial link that we needed to bring our granddaughter out of danger and into a loving nurturing home. My daughter has, for several years now, moved beyond the bad relationship and has since been supportive of our custody. Our granddaughter is now 10 years old and has blossomed into an outgoing, intelligent and well rounded happy child. Her mother is now heavily involved in her life and is now in a long term wonderful relationship herself. We are a happy family and it would not have been possible without the compassion, expertise and guidance of Mrs Chaing. We hold her in the highest regard and owe her a debt of gratitude. We know now that we will eventually relinquish custody back to her mother and have no issues that will prevent it. Mrs Chaing helped us through the darkest time in our family life and I would recommend her to anyone that wants the best outcome for a child in a difficult situation. Not only is she a great family law attorney but she is also a great person to know. On a scale of 1 to 10 we would rate her at 14.
