A lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, Ryan Sawyer obtained his B.A. Degree in History from Old Dominion University and his J.D. Degree from Regent University School of Law. He was licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia in October of 2013, and shortly thereafter formed his own practice that focused on Estate Planning, Civil and Business Transactions, and also some general practice. After several months of working as a solo practitioner, Mr. Sawyer joined the Hartley Law Group as an associate focusing on Estate Planning and Civil Transactions. He is also looking forward to helping grow those sides of the practice into more expansive areas that include Elder Law, Long Term Planning, and Medicaid practice. While away from the office, Mr. Sawyer spends time with his family and is an avid fan of both the Barclay's Premier League and Spanish Primera Division soccer leagues.

Very Informative
Mr. Sawyer was very good to answer my questions. He gave me a lot more information than the other attorneys. He couldn't handle my case because I needed a different type of attorney but he was knowledgeable and gave me the information I needed anyway.
"Mr. Sawyer is a very smart attorney, and absolutely dedicated to working hard for his clients. He treats his clients with respect and is very attentive to detail. I highly recommend Mr. Sawyer for estate planning here in Hampton Roads."
"Ryan is a great lawyer. He keeps attention to details and has excellent legal expertise. I would recommend him for your estate planning needs."
"I endorse this lawyer. Based on reading his responses to questions on Avvo I can tell he is caring to clients and also very knowledgeable in estate planning - the same area of law I practice."
"Attorney Sawyer is a rising star in the estate planning community. He takes the time to understand a client's wishes and determine the best possible estate plan for each individual client."
"Ryan is a highly skilled and diligent attorney, who will handle your estate planning needs, including wills, trusts, and specialty trusts like NFA Gun Trusts, with great accuracy and care. Plus, he is capable of so much more too!"
"I have had many conversations with Mr. Sawyer regarding estate planning issues, and I find him to be knowledgeable and interested in the topic. This can be a complex area of the law, and he understands intricacies that could easily confuse the layperson."
