Dale E. Workman earned his Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 1997 from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, which has consistently and repeatedly been recognized as the best law school in the nation for producing superior trial attorneys.
Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science in 1993 from the University of South Florida in Tampa. While there, he served as Articles Editor and Feature Writer for the school's Undergraduate Law Review, for which he wrote "Casualty of War," an in-depth analysis of the erosion of the right to privacy that has inevitably resulted from the nation’s War on Drugs.
Since law school, he has continued his education at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where he earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management in 2014.
He is admitted to practice in all state courts throughout Florida, as well as all federal courts throughout the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.
He has been named one of the "Top 20 Criminal Defense Lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida" by the independent professional services review firm Expertise, LLC. In addition, his “High Ethical Standing” and “High Professional Achievement” has been recognized by fellow attorneys and judges who know him and have worked with him, resulting in a “Distinguished” Peer Review Rating from the renowned attorney review firm Martindale-Hubbell. He has also received each of the Silver, Gold, and Platinum Client Champion Awards from the same organization based upon multiple reviews from clients that he has represented.
For more than a quarter of a century, he has been affiliated with many legal and professional organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Bar (Business Law, Criminal Law, Public Interest Law, and Trial Lawyers sections), and the Jacksonville Bar Association (Commercial Litigation and Criminal Law sections). He has also served as a member of the Florida Bar’s Traffic Court Rules Committee, and as an attorney advisor for several Teen Court programs throughout the state.
He is an experienced and respected trial attorney with an extensive background in both civil and criminal law, having practiced criminal defense in both the public and private sectors since January 1999 and civil trial law since February 2004.

Mr. Workman is extremely busy and sometimes you have to remind him of details. I am staying with attorney Workman because I believe he has integrity, morals, and is a honest genuine human being who enjoys helping others.
"i worked with Dale prior to relocating my practice to my home in Sarasota. I found Dale to be extremely knowledgeable and a strong advocate for his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer's abilities wholeheartedly. I have known Dale for 17 years, and he has had a gift and a passion for fighting for the rights of the accused each and every day of his career. His clients enjoy outstanding and aggressive representation, and his experience in and out of the courtroom provide his clients with a depth of representation that is lacking in many other attorneys."
"Dale is always working hard for his clients. He is always working overtime and often into night hours. His work ethic is admirable. I endorse this lawyer."
