I personally focus my practice on estate planning, estate, trust and conservatorship administration, fiduciary services, fiduciary litigation, asset protection, wealth preservation, elder law, and business planning. However, our Firm handles a wide range of legal services to meet your needs.
I began my career in Washington, D.C. where I worked on Capitol Hill and with the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. I have been practicing law in the Hampton Roads area since 2007.
I have advanced my interests in estate planning law and family counselling with extensive education. I earned an L.L.M. (Master of Laws) degree in estate planning and elder law in 2010. I attained my Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, where I was an associate editor of the International Law Review. Legal research I completed in that program has been published and used as a teaching aid by professors in law schools. I am also a contributing author for a book on estate planning.
I am a native of Poquoson, Virginia and have lived in the Hampton Roads area for most of my life. I am the past President of the Board of Directors for the Historic Triangle Senior Center. I am a member of the Williamsburg Republican Party and a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and my dachshund, London.

Highly recommend! I hired Attorney Carmines to help with settling my mother's estate. Her estate was fairly large, and was going to me and my brother and to our step-sisters. The step-sisters were fighting everything I tried to do. They even threatened to take me to court. He stepped in, and cal...

I am beyond satisfied with William Carmines. He helped me and my husband update our will, and he was thorough and competent. He made us feel at home with the whole process and answered every question we had. Very professional and polite.

Will was a very patient and understanding attorney. He explained everything in my estate planning and helped me understand the more complicated areas of my plan. I never felt rushed and I would highly recommend William in his all of his areas of expertise.

My sister pasted away in Dec of 2013, and I was having difficulty with a few debt collectors, in that they were not satisfied with the correspondents that I sent them reporting that there was no monies to pay her bills. Mr. Carmines and the staff did a fantastic job in their correspondence and eased...
"Will joined our firm in January of 2018. Since then he has demonstrated a thorough understanding of Estate Planning, Probate, and Business matters. I highly recommend him for anyone planning for end of life matters."
"Attorney Carmines is very experienced in estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law. Whenever I have a question or ask for his input, he takes the time to provide a well-researched and clearly-articulated answer. He uses these same skills to provide his clients with high-quality representation. He is an excellent mentor."
"I endorse this lawyer as an experienced estate estate planning and estate administration attorney. He and his assistant, Trisha, work hard to help their clients navigate the complexities of the estate administration process and complex estate planning."
"William Carmines is one of my supervising attorneys. He cares deeply about his clients and helping them achieve their goals. As a supervising attorney, he promotes and encourages the professional growth and development of myself and fellow Associates. I strongly endorse this attorney."
"I highly endorse this lawyer. He combines a thorough knowledge of the law with a personal commitment to insure his clients will receive highly professional estate planning, estate administration and other related services."
