Mr. Murphrey is a native of Newport News, Virginia and has lived in the Hampton Roads area for his entire life. He is an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, VA. He is a Past Master of Bremond Masonic Lodge No. 241 AF & AM in Newport News, VA. In addition to his other community interests, he is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the York-Poquoson Bar Association, the Newport News Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Christian Legal Society. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing tennis and golf.
