Ms. Bircher has also served as a Guardian ad litem for adults. She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the College of William and Mary. She has served on the Board of the Virginia Association of Elder Law Attorneys (VAELA) since 2009 and as Secretary of VAELA since 2011.

 

Ms. Bircher is also one of several Virginia representatives for an American Bar Association-sponsored program on behalf of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for Virginia’s versions of State Fiduciary Guides (Trustees under a Revocable Living Trust), 2013 – 2014. She has also served as an Officer of Election in York County since 2006.

 

Ms. Bircher enjoys public speaking and has given numerous presentations to community groups, as well as at continuing legal education events.

Estate Planning
Elizabeth is a very knowledgeable estate planner. She walked me through each step of the process and explained the expected results of each decision that I made. I was only in town for a short while as I presently live in Singapore so Elizabeth made phone contact with me before the signing day and she and her staff were very friendly during my time at her office.

Review of the performance of Mrs. Bircher in preparing our wills.
My wife and I were very satisfied with the service and advice afforded us by Mrs. Bircher in the preparations of our wills. She was very knowledgeable and most helpful in guiding us through a number of items and considerations in the process of formulating the documents. She answered all of our questions in a clear manner and in words and language that we could understand and comprehend. She assisted us by her conscientiousness and professionalism throughout the entire process. If we have any future legal concerns or needs, we will seek assistance from her or other members of her firm.

Elizabeth went out of her way to help me. I live in another state and she was very helpful in doing everything so, I did not have to travel to handle my mother's estate.
