Mr. Hallam and his senior attorney, Joshua Wilson provided a very comprehensive consultation of our legal case. In August of 2016, I begin looking for legal representation for a case. I got the opportunity to do a free legal consultation over the phone with Keith Hallam. He was very knowledgeable, and thorough with my legal matter. I was very confident with his practice and he assured me that it was a 98% chan...ce he could beat my case especially if I did all of my homework. From there I still decided to shop around in which I met up with 3 other Lawyers. After hearing them all out, I decided to hire Keith Hallam even though his prices were significantly Higher. I completed all of my homework and felt good about my decision. On the day of my case I met with a James Simons from Nova Legal group (Keith Hallam’s law firm) whom knew little to nothing about my case. I then had to explain to him details about my case minutes before my trial. He was unprepared and lacked confidence that he could get the outcome that Keith Hallam assured. Not only was I convicted but I also did jail time. I didn’t prepare my employer for this outcome (98%) so I ended up losing my job as well. With an abundance of knowledge of criminal cases combined with good ole fashion puffing makes Keith Hallam a great salesperson for his services. Unfortunately, I would much rather him Under promise and over deliver and leave the puffing to the sales people.

I faced a serious felony charge of drug possession last year and I spoke to many defense attorneys who quoted much higher rates well above my means. Mr. Hallam was the first and only attorney in the NOVA region who gave me a run down of the possible outcomes and what he could do to help. He was sympa...thetic of my fears of being convicted and I wholeheartedly trusted him with my case. Before my court date, Mr. Hallam offered valuable advice and was always available to talk on the phone (even calling me back after hours) to answer my questions. He is clearly an intelligent, hardworking lawyer who think outside of the box in legal arguments and strategies while upholding ethical standards. I followed Keith's advice by completing my community service, obtaining letters of recommendation, taking drug tests, and attending drug education courses. In the end, Mr. Hallam was able to negotiate with the prosecutor on my behalf and my charges have finally been dismissed. He is simply the best and knows the court system inside and out. The law office offers flexible payment plans and Mr. Hallam is usually available in the afternoons after court. Keith Hallam has to be one of the most unprofessional lawyers out there. During the initial consultation he makes it seem like he is the most assessible and knowledgeable attorney out there and even offers reasonable payment plans. I was convinced I was getting one of most thorough attorneys in the a...rea. But the minute the ink dried on the contract I signed that's when the problems began. This man is impossible to reach and I do mean impossible. I would text him via phone and email him with no response from him or his staff for weeks. He would constantly cancel meetings with me due to constant illnesses and his own staff would never have him return my calls, even if I had court the next day. I even texted him one night asking about my case and he had no idea who I was. He doesnt even save his own client"s number!!!! He only communicated with me if he thought I was late on a payment and even sent me a nasty text saying I owed an amount to him that was completely inaccurate . In other words, if you need to speak to him he is unavailable but when he thinks you owe him money he hounds and harasses you. On top of that, he never came prepared for court. He had me bring in documents the day of court and quickly scanned over them minutes before a preliminary hearing . He encouraged me to take plea deals over going to court to fight for my innocence . Despite him having years of experience , he comes off very meek and timid around prosecutors which is why they don't give him great offers . I watched him sheepishly defend me to this brash prosecutor and couldn't help but stratch my head wondering why I had hired such a timid man. I would def not recommended this lawyer to my friends and family. He was able to reduce my charges but I still was forced to take a plea that required jail time despite having no prior convictions all because he wasn't "confident " going to court. I honestly could have gotten a court appointed lawyer , saved myself $3000 and still gotten the same outcome . Avoid if you want someone who will be attentive and fight for you. Hire if you are truly desperate or having financial problems.
